949.99 from all our sponsors I believe......this is the pre-order price. According to one of our sponsors, they will retail for 999 at and after Vegas....get it now if you want to save a little cash

additionally it was either Eric or Ron that stated that WDP will be selling them at $999 at Vegas, so you're still getting it a little cheaper. However the retail is going to be around that price.

I got one very important question. If this is the newest so called "fastest marker ever made." Are the guys with IR3's gunna have problems getting over a grand when or if they try and sell there IR3's? If the speed is supposed to be so phat why would they price it under the IR3? Please explain

it is cheaper because, it does not have a anti chop eye, instead it now has some weight sensor which costs less than a eye. Also there is no lcd.

Doesn't the IR3 work the same way? Take a look at the COPS rod and you will see that all it does is sit on a strip and detect if the weight of a ball is sitting on it so the bolt can cycle. So I think the abbreviation COPS(Crystal Operated Paint Sensor) is incorrect when the Crystal part of it wrong when it uses no beam of light to sense a ball. Thats why the iR3 can detect any color paint.

i don't know why any one would spend 1000 on a angel b/c matrix, shocker , timmies, impiesand others are less and just as good... i used to have a dark and let me tell you my lcd trix and led trix both out shoot and cost less..... only down fall was air effieciency... but that is no longer an issue with all the mods that have come out.... i have since sold the angel and am now going to ge another trix.... angels are to damn expensive and if WDP doesn't start to do more than this shot (the Speed) they willl lose market share before they know it .

I also think that markers are quite territorial.....
Texas is a huge Intimidator area.....we have TX Storm with their own line of Intimidator, and National us huge in Texas so of course the Intimidatory is pushed quite hard here.
I know that the MS Gulf Coast area is big on the IR3.....well they've got a Warped Sportz right there, go figure.
When I was in Central FL, it was a pretty big Angel area as well.
It seems that Southern California has a couple of clicks one being the Angel....well they've got Dynasty in their backyard. Now it's also a huge market for the Matrix.....oh and wouldn't you know it SC Ironmen right next to Dynasty....
I'm not saying that anyone is a sheep, but I do believe that depending on what you have readily available (not only to buy, but to see perform week in and week out) will certainly dictate what dominates your local market.
Some people also follow a team or something.....I've seen quite a few people wanting to sell their GZ Timmy because they wanted a NY Extreme Matrix.....why? well because GZ left the Intimidator behind for a custom Matrix and if they left the Timmy behind it must be better right? Kinda like when everyone started dropping their DYE Angels for Matrices because SC switched.....

Thanks for your input daddy...Well I think timmys are milled electronic sypders, shockers are shoeboxes, matricies require enormous ammounts of attention, and impulses need mods out of the box to stop first shot drop off and other air problems.

the main issue is the price... wdp is unrealistic...yes they are great markers but you still have the same issues... new barrel, bolt, angel reg often replace 15 deg asa how often do you see the stock infinty auctally used? angel makes a good marker but leaves you with no cash to buy paint after you buy the standard modifications.... 200 for a basrrel system, 100 for a reg, 40 for a bolt , 30 for a charger adapter , 30 for a drop, etc......
daddy

i am sorry to whine but in my opinion the best angel to buy is a used one so that you can afford the other stuff that it needs....

many of the things you've listed are more preferencial and comsmetic. every performance/operational part on my ir3 is stock. bolt, reg etc etc. the infinity is a good barrel. i dont use it anymore after picking up my scepter kit. i did replace my stock crap detent tho.
the pricing gap is getting smaller every day. with every other electro manu adding more features and gadgets ... it's not uncommon to see other electros in the same price range of a base ir3.
i was innudated with ALL the new electors out when getting back into the game about 8months ago. after lots of research i decided to just go with what i knew. an angel. low maintenance, high reliability. on the flip side ... i recently picked up a freeflow b/c i love tinkering with cockers.
and i def agree with you on buying used. you loose hundreds the moment your new gun leaves the factory on it's way out to you. just like driving a new car off the lot.

Let's tone it down folks. Express your opinion concisely. Don't try to force your opinion on others, nor insult them for not taking yours as fact.

look sorry top have started havok... but the bottom line is... why does wdp have to make markers that only a kids parent or a sponsorship could get. i am 28 and can afford to buy this stuff but the fact is the marker matters... and a kid who saves to buy a marker is going to jump at the other markers cause how long will it take to save for an angel compared to a stock trix or impy then as he gets more cash buy the upgrades....
angels are great but just unreasonable priced..... after all like the IR3 it sucks to find out the resale value is so low.... g
great markers bad pricing
Daddy what do you think every high level gun is priced at?? The $700 -1400 and beyond range.

well I just went to 1 site (888paintball) for poops and laughs and looked up prices.....Intimidators=994 (customs like Storm, GZ's, Lasoya, Ironmen, Dragon etc are a couple hundered more), Matrix LCD=994.....if I remember correctly there's more than about $150 worth of "necessary" upgrades you have to do to a Matrix to make it perform good, additionally you still have to buy your nonstock barrel, drops etc.....
as for Imps and Bushy's etc.....those are mid range Electros and always have been. The Imp requires about another $150+ just to get it going once you've bought it, and even the Custom jobs are pushing close to $1000
So the Speed is going to be $1000.....seems like it's in the market with the rest of the "High End Electros" out there :dunno:
as for all the supposed upgrades that you need........you don't need any, bolts aren't necessary they are personal preference, hopper well you woulda had to buy that anyways, barrel...same thing.....so unfortunatly daddy your analogy is way offbase. Let's try to do some more research before spouting off incorrect numbers please. Now I will admit that my numbers on upgrades are guesstimates as I've never priced the necessary items to upgrade a Matrix to make it perform as I've never had a desire to own one....

well .. that's just basic biz. if the price demanded is acceptable to enough people then there it is.
take any of the german car manufacturers. audi, bmw, mercedes, porsche. is $80k a reasonable price for a 4door sedan? or $130k for a sports car(of course that thing is FAST)? i certainly couldnt afford it but there are many how can and do.
the "speed" is being released to target the market where wdp currently doesnt exist. wdp already has a solid foot hold in the $1000+/high end segment. kinda like porsche building an suv to target that ridiculous part of the auto segment.
my ir3 i bought new .. other than that i'll probably continue to pick up used guns at a massive discount ... except maybe a mamba.

actually, with the LCD there is nothing you have to do to it, they come stop with a lpr, the bolt kit and advanced chip which allows you to go up to around 21-22 bps. You are correct if you bought an led matrix which are significantly cheaper.
And one more thing, someone mentioned that the trix requires alot of attention, well they don't, they are the easiest gun to maintain and fix. The spool valve design of them, makes the bolt and solenoid really the only parts of the guns, if you o ring blows off, it takes 2 minutes to fix it, you just unscrew the back, and the bolt assembley comes out, this has not happened ot me yet, and I have hsot 35,000 actual shots. Also you just rub some greas eon your bolt every 2-3 cases, thats it. It's worth it for the speed and the extremely quiet sound of them.

i just traded up from a my impy to a used lcd for only 150 bucks. It would have cost me 180 just to get vision for my impy or the 150 for a new valvae and lpr kit. And Angels are over priced?

If you want the best you gotta pay the price for the best. I.e. George Stynbrenner (owner of the yankees, Devils, Etc). Dude has endless ends he bought his team. ^ world series in less then 10 years. Just an example, Just my oipinion. Can I get a hell yeah?!?!

I dont know what all the fuss is about,if its too expensive, dont buy it!!
The first shop in Germany that are taking pre orders for the speed want 1150€ for one,the American shops want about 999$,the exchange course hovers around 1$ for 1€.
Its the same with every single marker in Germany ,they always cost more than in the States.
When something is made in the USA,then its obviously going to cost more shipping,Import tax,VAT. etc so the pricing is understandable.
For something made in Europe,(WDP),to cost more in Europe than it does in the states is unnaceptable, dealers do not have to pay high import tax or delivery costs for products manufactured in the EEC.
WDP does not set the prices for the European shops, they set there own,so the fault lies there.
As with every new product,we have to pay more for the Speed, unless of course we can buy one in England,(illegal Import!!),or get one at the Max-Masters.Id be happy to have the option to buy one for 999$,definitely cheaper than over here;)

thats just supply and demand -- there are probably alot of people in germany that are willing to pay 1150 eros or whatever at the shops for the same gun and the shops can sell them for that much. in the states theres a bunch of shops so they are forced to sell them for a lower $ amount to keep up with the competition - its cool for me kase i live in the states
----n e way you should just get one off of mospaintball.com -- i think they're $950 just do that and save 200 bucks
