did the set screw come loose and restrict the knob from turning all the way? you might need to remove your back plate to access it.

its the screw in the middle of the backplate. i dont think you need to remove the knob to get the backplate off though. just that screw in the middle. can you see the set screw at all on the breech knob?

when you pull out the 2mm set screw that holds on the backplate it should slide right off over the breech lnob. if it doesnt then your set screw on your breech knob has probably come loose and backed out some. which is also why you cant get your breech open. you need to get that back plate off so you can retighten that set screw on the breech knob.

got it i took the back plate off and the prb was the set screw was to loose thanks for everyones help(For2nato)

Hey man, my gun is brand new, and I am having the same problem. The set screw seems to have backed out of the breech knob, and is stuck against the back plate. I took the screw out of the back plate, and tried to lift it off, but it will not lift past the knob at all. There isn't even any wiggle in it around the knob. I can lift the back plate enough so it slides past the body, and rotates WITH the knob, but I can't get the plate to slide off of that knob / set screw. I do not want to over-rotate the ram however...

How did you fix this problem for yourself? I am open to any ideas!

this is a 2 year old thread.....

I noticed, however I am having this problem now. Instead of cluttering up the board asking the same question again, I figured I might try to keep the question and answer all in the same place. I also figured the OP may still be subscribed, and provide me with what their solution was.

Thanks for posting just to tell me how old the thread was though. I am not sure it was in any way helpful, but at least you took the time out :xd:

Here is how I would fix it.

Take the two screws that hold the grip or handle frame off the marker. There is three dowel pins you do not want to let drop out. One holds the LPR, another near the front holds the magno valve port in, and the last one near the back holds in the ram. This one I would pull out a touch so you can loosen the rear cap and pull the ram out all at the same time.

With it out you can now pull the back cap off. Take the knob off the ram and put on some green or blue lock tight on the threads and then turn it back in. Put the marker back together.

WHAT EVER YOU DO....DO NOT AIR UP THE MARKER WITH OUT THE LPR'S DOWEL PIN IN. IT WILL CUT YOUR NOIDS WIRES OFF AND YOU WILL NEED TO FIX THAT.

SO REMEMBER THERE IS THREE DOWEL PINS THAT WILL WANT TO FALL OUT WHEN YOU TAKE THE GRIP FRAME OFF. JUST WATCH YOUR EYE WIRES AND THE NOID WIRES WHEN THE GRIP FRAME IS OFF.

Cheers Don.

Thanks Evil_Angel, your answer is greatly appreciated! Once I loosened it, I managed to tilt the back plate at an angle that allowed me to slip an allen key into the knob's set screw, and thread it into the cap and free the knob up. After that I removed the back plate, fully threaded the set screw on the knob, and but it all back together again.
If none of that had worked, your answer was my next step. Thanks!!
(For the record, Bob at FMA advised me of the same step, so it is FMA approved!)
