my angel one is going to be here tomorrow!!
ups next day air isnt going fast enough!!
christmas is coming early for me this year because i get to open it when it gets here. i got the ice dust with black accents.
but i have a question that been bugging me.
ok, so... how come the angel one runs at a higher pressure than a g7 or speed05? everywhere that i have looked it says that the g7 runs a 175 psi and on here you guys say to run it at 275 psi. how come this is so? is it the same kind of thing as a full bodied cocker running at a lower pressure than a mini bodied cocker becuase there isnt as much regulated air being stored past the regulator?
oh yea and does the angel one use the flat back solenoid setup like the g7 or the vertical setup like the older speeds and a4?
i cant wait for this thing to get here!!!!

yes sir..... i finally have an angel!!!
ever since the a1 came out it has been my dream gun.
this will be one hell of an upgrade becuase my last gun was a diablo mongoose(the old crappy ones), 20 oz., and 12 volt revolution
and now i have a1, VL Vlocity Jr., pure energy 68/45.
i would have chosen a different tank but the vlocity and tank came wiht the gun for free.

wow lol. jumpin to an 1200 dollar a1, from a pos diablo mongoose. haha nice.
im not really sure of the answer to your question except that the A1 is completly redesigned. its very different from any previous angel. maybe an MT or someone who knows a little bit more about angels in general can go into specifics.

my first marker was a spyder Shutter ($220), then I worked for my father for a whole summer making $5 an hour and bought a brand new 2001 angel lcd C&C for $1250. Had to sell my spyder to afford a tank and hopper.

they say to run it at 275 because then you get more efficiency.

There are 2 way to get a ball to 300 fps, lower air pressure with longer dwell, or higher pressure and shorter dwell. The A1 is still LP but its higher than the G7 so that it can go with a shorter dwell and be much softer on brittle paint.

well that makes sense.

you will get around 1500 shots out of a 68/45

don't mean to ride your thread crazy, but what if your not even getting 1000 shots out of a 68/45?

check your pressures then, most likely 1 of them is off, usually its your tank. If you want a simple way to checkyour tank's pressure, use an ASA with 2 holes, put a gauge in 1 and a screw in the other, then just unscrew the screw very slowly until you here a small leak and check the pressure, thats usually about 25-40 psi lower than your real input.

Thanx Bleda, I run a LP 45k maxflo micro, could that have anything to do with it, if so which is the best reg that doesn't screw off?

Thats a perfectly fine tank you just want to check the output of the reg as they are usually ball parked and can be all over the place. The lowest i've heard was 325 and the highest i've heard was 625 for LP tanks but you want it to be at 450. Dont go by what the website says though, actually get yours tested and set to be 450 and you should be golden.
