i just updated my a1 to v 2.1 using my friend pc at a local field. the installation went smoothly but i have a few questions.

im not sure what to choose for paint type. my field sells dxs blaze and xball (usually bronze). Im not sure what setting to choose. right now i have it on medium 8.

my settings are
dwell: 6.5 m/secs
de-bounce level: 5
paint type: medium 8
shot filter: 5%
ABS: 0.25 m/secs

i bought my gun from bob at fma. so im going to guess my lpr is pretty close to the recommended 57psi. im also going to guess my mini reg output is close to the recommended 270psi.

my tank is a 70/4500 crossfire lp stubby. it came preset at 400/450.

Recently i have been noticing a big paint build up in my barrel (stock .691 back). It is causing my shots to spin wicked crazy and my paint just flys everywhere when i shoot. I have to take my barrel off and run a swab through it almost every game. im not sure what the problem is.

is it my settings? (if you recommend a different setting that what i listed please share)
is it the barrel? (im thinking of buying a .689 stiffi or sly barrel)
is it my hopper? (i have a halo b with rip drive and v35)
is it my batteries? (it could have been my halo bats. they might have been low. im also thinking about buying a boost pack. does it work well with v35 or should i also get a cheetah?)

Busta, if your getting paint buildup, then your breaking paint. use process of elimination.

start with the barrel backs.
the Halo is a work horse shouldn't be a problem.
fresh batts will be best. boost will save you $$ long term. works good with V35, Cheetah, you need the big 8cell pack. that board is a beast!

im going to start out by buying a boost pack. this 1

then im going to see how it performs with my v35.

if this doesnt solve the problem i might look into a better barrel (sly/stiffi) to get a better bore to paint size match.

any more suggestions?

no its not a chop. its just like a paint build up in the center of the barrel.

so you must be breaking paint halfway up barrel. do a paint to barrel match.
Edit- mabe to big and too much room for ball, causing breaks.(xball paint is usually small)
