The blue insert in the bolt that cushions the ball upon impact has cracked and broken at one point and is about to break on another.
I realize that this part does wear, I was just wondering if this should have worn out after only 6550 cycles??

Thanks

Over 100,000 shots (like 140,000 or so IIRC) on my A4 Fly and never had a bolt problem.

Cracked ASAs, broken bolts... it makes me wonder if in a few years the market will be demanding tough paintball guns instead of light paintball guns. For now though, speedballers are demanding lighter products and the manufacturers are delivering.

38,000 shots and the blue part looks perfect on mine...

i have had two bolts where the soft tip has gone. Just pull the bits out and use the bolt without the stupid bit of plastic . Still shoots fine and no paint breakage

I ran about 500 rounds through mine and it broke at one of the arms already. New it seemed that the blue insert was not installed properly. The triangles were not even.

to get by for the moment, grab some tweezers and remove the remains of the soft tip and the gun will shoot perfectly. It's what i have done to get by until i hear back from Ken.

Hey Ken

I have sent you the info

Ranger Joe - It is a brand new A1 - have been shooting XO V1, Cryptic and some white box.

BTW - I have shot another 2500 rounds without the blue soft face in the bolt and it has been working just fine - no need to bring out the ION matti_gray

Ken
Once again Thanks for your help!

Hey Dusta and pballfreak22

No need for tweezers - take bolt out - carefully with a pair of pliers pull the metal pin out of the back of the bolt. Once the metal pin is out you should be able to push/pull the internal guts out. You will see that the blue soft face slides into notches on this internal piece. Pull the blue soft face out and put it all back together. Simply reverse procedure when you receive your replacement part.

You can keep on shooting until your replacement comes! I've had no breaks due to the blue piece being removed

BTW - it doesn't look like these blue soft face pieces are available for purchase separately

Merry Ball’n!

Yeah, it seems to be OK without the blue piece for now, much better than ION. THanks guys
