So...After weeks of trying to decide what Angel to buy... I decided to go with a 2K2 LCD.. Great price/Great Marker..
...Of course part of my choice was based on the fact that WDP said nothing new was coming out!!!! When I e-mailed them and asked.......NOPE!! Nothing New.... When I spoke to them at Skyball... NOPE!! Nothing New...Maybe some colours at LA... Everyone was playing dumb and denied that a new Angel was coming out... So I spent my money....
This pisses me off... I work hard for my money And for them to steer customers (ME) into buying low priced LCD's and Ir3's just so they can clear stock is DISGUSTING!!!!!!
I thought WDP cared about their customers (ME)...I guess I was wrong...

its all business, but I promise your 2k2 LCD has the capability to put the paint out there just as fast as any other angel. I wouldn't worry about it. From what I have heard, the only advantage to the speed to speak of is that you get a ton of shots out of your tank.

You're mad at a company for making money? All companies do this, it's called staying in business. If they were to say all the time, don't buy now, wait a month! Then they'd never move what they have now. Are you mad at car companies for making new models thereby making yours depreciate? :lost:

Ok... Maybe it's more of *Upset :) Buddy at the Skyball WDP booth could have said...*Why, don't you wait a couple weeks...... You'll be happy.....* I was buying an Angel... Would have liked to have the choice to wait or not....
And of course I am happy with my LCD :) :) :)

Car companies have inventory clearance sales...they don't hide the fact something new is coming out. When you ask them when the new Model is coming, they tell you.....They would rather sell you the New more expensive model...not the discounted older one..... Thats SMART Business sense!!!!

Ya but when they tell you what new car model is coming out its the same basic model as the last one......its got the same name only an added year and new stuff for it. This one came out as a whole new gun that has nothing like it out today. Is like the unvailing of a statue, you dont tell everyone what it will look like or it wont be as much of a suprise.

They didn't lie... that's a little harsh. Employees usually have to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) when they join a company. Hell, I had to sign one when I signed my team's sponsorship contract.

Dude there was no lying going on at all... WDP is a pretty big company in the paintball world and people could get into VERY big trouble if the let out the secrets of their company. Do you even think sales reps even kno al lthe details about what is coming out even?.. I mean look at www.angel-owners.com THere were a few threads long ago that were somehow removed due to people knowing what was going on with new stuff from WDP... With the new SPEED that just came out, we found out a day early... not liek weeks early. I talked to some guys at Warped Sportz and they can't even tell me what is going on with it (they know the same stuff we do about it, and if hey do know more, then they sure as hell aren't telling) apparentlythey didn't even try one out yet. Al lthe ysaid is that they will be pimping it out Dark Angel style in about 3 months after the SPEED is releaded to the public.. and that was a big "if" from them... so thats how it goes to make somethign all hyped up. Look at how much trouble people get into if the pirate a band's CD before it is set to release... Its liek that but wit hpaintball kinda... maybe.. .wait... no i F'ed up... nevermind hehe

So the guy may have lied about it and said nothing new was coming out, but you can't expect people to tell you a marker is about to be released when they're trying to keep it a secret. If they don't want people to know this marker is coming out, they aren't going to tell you. I know it sucks, but that's just how it works

Sebastian, i see where your coming from. Earlier someone compared it to the car industry, which can not be a apples to apples comparison at all. I know a new car is comming out atleast a year in advance might not know the specifics but i know its comming and general details. This marker will hit the marker softly, WDP needs to make their markers versitile. Have a WDP barrel system, Hopper anything.
