macroline- pain in the butt0x, help!

hey guys im trying to take the macro line hose off of my A1 to service the orings on my mini reg.

it is impossible! it says to pull bag the colllet, and pull firmly. How far does the collect come under? you have to pull it down right? it just goes right back down when i pull it, and no matter how hard i try, it wont budge

advice?

take an adjustable wrench and make it the same size as the macroline fit, firmly press down on the macro line fitting and then pull on your macroline, it will come out.

You have to hold the collet back while pulling on the macroline. I suggest you use a cresent wrench to hold down the collet. and then pull on the macroline.

wait so i gotta press it in? hold it down, like if i took a wrench i gotta wrap it around the collet and squeeze it?

adjust the wrench around the macroline but dont clamp down on the macroline. push the wrench up against the collet and with your other hand pull down on the macroline. it should release.

pull back on the collit hold it back and pull out the macroline, its not hard. maybe your macroline is a bit too short or cramped if your experiencing this problem. are you trying to take out the macroline from the fitting on your reg or asa?

No, You do not sqeeze it. You place the wrench around the macroline. Not the collet. Then press the collet in towards the gun and hold. then pull out on the macroline. The wrench is used just to put even pressure on the collet.
