I just got home from a weekend scenario event and had issues the entire time with the eyes acting strange. The display would show that they were on and when I turned on the loader they would not detect the ball. I could power the gun down then it would see (display) the ball in the breech. Thinking everything was ok I headed to the field. When I pulled the trigger the gun would not fire and the eyes would have the line (deactivated) through them on the display. I could then hold the trigger and they would reactivate but still would not fire. After about 10 or so shots it would then decide to fire and work ok. If I let the gun sit idle for longer than 3 or so minutes (large woodsball field) it would not fire again until 10 -15 trigger pulls. I have replaced the batteries twice and power level was full. After about a case of paint my battery was completely drained(1 bar).
The only thing that comes to mind is the cold weather. It was 26 degrees at night (40s during the day) and we were camping in tents with the equipment in our vehicles. Could the cold affect an A1 like this? My Velocity was drinking batteries like crazy and would barely turn. My buddy also has an A1 and he was ok except for needing some heat to get the seals to grab. There were over 800 people on the field and I felt like an idiot when trying to chrono.
I have previously shot 4 cases of paint with no problems. (warm weather)
Any ideas?
