View Full Version : Eyes not aligning
My eyes dont seem to want to align. If I leave the eye cover off and just gently place them in they work fine. But as soon as I put the cover over the eye and the eye gets pushed all the way into place the eye goes into default. Any way I can fix this? I've tried an oring and it worked for about a shot or two then got knocked out of place and the eyes went into default again.

Try to see if you can look into the breech while tightening the eye cover on the right side with the marker and eyes on. The right side is the one that actually emits the light, and if it's getting out of line, you should be able to see the circle of light move around. Given that there's not much room in the eye socket for this to happen, I would guess that its more likely that your eye ribbon is damaged in some way, and the pressure from the eye cover is causing the connection to break.
You could also look into the breech from the rear and if you tighten the screw slowly, you could probably see the actual eye moving, but again, I don't see how that could really happen.

it's the pressure of the eye cover it's definitly cause a loose connection. you need new eyes. Get new eyes and call us in the morning. peace
yea.. these are brand new eyes. and it's not like the eyes stop working. I can ocassionally get them to work, but after shooting paint through them.. they come out of alignment. when i look into the breech the 'dot' from the emitter eye is slightly lower and to the right of the hole for the other eye.

That is strange. I'm looking at my eyes right now, and it doesn't seem as though there's any possible way for it to move and not line up. You could possibly have the wrong eyes with a different diameter (doubtful, as the wrong eyes likely wouldn't work at all). Is there any damage to the eye ribbon cover? It has that little nubbin that sits right on the eye and if that was not pressing on the eye then it could push out a bit and cause your problem. Although the inside of the ribbon cover isn't exactly a high wear area. You've got a unique problem there.
