IR3 with an A4 board questions.

I figured I would ask this question in here also, as you guys know alot about the A4 board.

I just bought an IR3 that has been upped with an A4 board. When it boots it shows "LP V2" as the firmware version.

Heres my questions:
How can I tell if this board is uncapped?
Is it possible to have ramping?
Can I have full auto without the capping?
Is it possible in any way to be able to select the customizable firing modes withou having to remove the grips?


I just bought the gun, so I cant afford to "fly" it. I have been thinking about doing it later though. Do the MT's install an A4 Fly board when they do the eye-q? Does the A4 fly have all those modes I mentioned above and are they uncapped? Can you get to them without removing the grips on the a4 fly board?

I dont play in tourneys, but a bunch of friends get together on the weekends here at my place.

put in on semi 2.. lp v2 just tells you that its booting up like microsoft software starting up the computer. you should download the manual and youll know more about it and how it works. and you have to open the grip frame to put it on other semi modes. i tried to put it on full auto with the 25 mrof and i have chopped alot. so i suggest that you get it flied or predatored. both are good and recommended. and also pretty cheap. the board does not have uncapped. once you get your marker flied or predatored it will ripped and most of your buddies will be pissed at you for over shooting. but youll probably enjoy that.

I will probably get it flied. I want to keep my LCD display. Thats a pretty cool feature. I live about 1 hour from The Angel Guy (TAG Sportz). His site is www.theangelguy.com. Is he any good has anyone had any work done by him?

you will not regret it... im getting one for mine too. but my friend has it and it really rocks. but if you want to keep your lcd then the tadao would be the best bet. both are good and great for tourney and rec ball.

From what I have read, you dont have an LCD screen with the tadao board. It just has different colored LEDS to give you status.

I like having the LCD screen and the functionality of it.

my bad dawg.. you are correct. when you put tadao in it. but if you get it flied which just putting a regular a4fly board you would still have the lcd. you need to talk to them about it.. may be bob or ken can help you out. at performananceangel or fixmyangel im sure these guys are the pros that can really help you out.

Yeah I think I am going to have it flied. I have been talking with Bob. It seems once you have them flied the boards are unlocked, plus you have the advantageof having the super sweet angel eyes.

I am a big fan of the milling on the IR3's so having it flied, it seems I will get the best of both worlds.

=) Ir3 is one of the most durable angel ever built. i can say this would last you atleast your life time. may be not that extreme, but its durable for you not to worry about breaking. and yes the milling is sweet. i love my a4 but im getting it predatored. i contemplated about the lcd or the led. i decided to go for the led's. its more convenient for battery but a pain in a** to program.
