IR3 to Warp Feed Layout-Complete

First I will run through a quick list of pictured parts/tools you will need for this mod:
-1: 3/32 mono phone plug (2 conducter solder terminal, screw type housing)
-A soldering iron kit w/ solder
-Copper wire stripper
-Around 5 inches of 22gauge wire (2 colors preferably) you will have plenty extra with 5 inches-I choose red and black for this.
-Metric hex keys
-precision screwdriver kit
-razor or x-acto knife
-electrical tape
-intellifeed kit if your gun didn’t come with it.(stock ir3s may need this for mod)
-Basic mechanical/electrical skills

I will picture the things I have pictured the steps are fairly easy to follow and shouldn’t be to difficult if your familiar with the ir3 and/or the warp feed.

If you have a gun that came intellifeed ready:
First detach the site rail and snip the grey and white intellifeed wires from the plug with the wire stripper. Detach grips and and unplug intellifeed cord and pull out carefully. You may need to remove backplate to move obstructions. If you bought the kit separately simply cut the cord so you have just the plug that goes into the board and the grey and white wires as shown.

Now strip around 1 cm or under of each end of the grey and white wires as shown. Strip both ends of each your precut red and black wire since you will be soldering at both ends.

Twist the ends of the white wire and one ends of the red wire as shown as well as one ends of the black with the grey wire.

Solder the twisted connections to ensure that they don’t come apart and function correctly. Then cover with electrical tape to seal.

Now slide the end cap of the audio plug down the wires so it can be put on when everything is connected and connect the opposite ends of the red wire and black wire to the audio plug(do this by twisted wire heads and slides it through the hole carefully. There are two holes for connections when the cap is taken off, each wire goes in one. They may not touch so make sure you do this properly. The black wire goes in the whole that has the larger terminal that is rounded and longer below the small strait one. The red goes in the small one. Once you got the wires through put a small amount of solder to keep them in place. Slide cap over the plug when done and the wiring part is done.

Now Open the warp back plate that accesses the pc board and adjust the jumpers so that in the dwell section only one jumper is connected and it is in the left most position vertically. Set the sens jumper for the negative setting so that only one jumper is in the middle position. Reattach back plate and your done here.

Take the removed ir3 grips and carefully cut a small slit with a razor for wires to run out through the grip frame to the warp.

Attach intellifeed plug back to the board and audio plug to the warp adapter. Close grips and mount warp and you’re finished.

Simply turn gun on add 9v to warp set gun to live and warp will spin to your settings simply adjust to your liking. You may also choose to cover entire wire for added durability with wire insulation or electrical tape. This is fairly easy to do will not void your warranty since connection is removable and doesn’t tamper with anything permanent. Any questions feel free to post them.
