Sat. this gun was shooting ropes.I brought it home cleaned it,lubed it and left it alone.Today I wanted to try some new paint and now I have a leak that I can hear in the barrel and feedneck. So now I would like to replace the orings on the ram.
How in the world do I take this thing apart?I took the set screw out of the head (the big part that is at the barrel side of the ram) of the ram.But it just will not come off to let me chage the oring. What should I do?

i think you need a special tool to remove the ram hammer. i would suggest you send your gun in if you want the orings changed on your ram. im not sure if there is an easy way to remove it yourself without damaging it because it is loctited and torqued.

Does anyone know how to get the hammer off the ram, I am experiencing the same issue with the seal leak and I know it is the seal on the shaft that is leaking. I tried for a while last night to remove the hammer and after I got the set screw off I still couldn't get the hammer to move. I tried to put some heat to possibly melt any loctite that might be in there. I don't know what else to do without risking damaging the ram.

No, it doesn't.
p8ntballerff, what are you using to hold shaft when you try to remove the hammer?

That is probably my biggest problem, I don't really have anything I can hold it with that I can guarantee won't scar the ram. I just never ran into a need for anything like that in my toolbox before, any suggestions? I just installed the updated ram into the angel so it isn't that big a deal anymore but, I would like to have a spare ready to go if the seal goes like it did last weekend.
