Ok guys, please an Angel newb. My first Angel and I love this gun. It shoots really well overall. One problem I cannot get rid of is the bolt sticking forward. I can shoot through a case then all of a sudden the bolt sticks. Then, it maybe sticks again next game, maybe not. Really odd. I tried switching blue for red detents. Both have the issue. I am willing to send it in to get it fixed. I live in Beaverton Oregon. Anyone have suggestions or know of great Angel tech's around here? Thanks.... Oh ya, It has been lubed and lubed and lubed.

What are you settings?
If you say it's been lubed are you talking about the bolt? If so, DON'T LUBE IT! It will swell causing it to stick.

ur lubing ur bolt??
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOTT LUBE UR BOLT! it causes ur bolt to swell and can damage it
i stopped lubing mine and the performance of my angel has been wayy better.
just rinse down the bolt with water every use and dry it, without lubing it. It shoots better without lube, and it says not to lube it in the manual.
hope dis helps
pce!

Sorry guys, I did not mean the bolt was being lubed, I meant the gun. As in the maintenance is being performed properly. I even have the gauges to set it up correctly. I used the joy settings to a T. Thing rips and is accurate as hell. Just this bolt issue. I have cleaned the bolt and do not lube the bolt itself. I think the breach pins may be the culprit??? Just looking for anything I could be missing by not knowing Angels well at all.

What lube are you using? The incorrect lube can cycle all the way through the gun, getting all over the bolt.
What's your barrel breech size and how does the bolt fit in the barrel?

I am using that love juice stuff or whatever it is called that came with it. I am also just using the stock .693 barrel back. The bolt feels like it sticks in the breech, like it is tight sometimes or misalinged. Other times it is fine and moves freely. Weird problem I know and annoying because it is not consistent. Are there any bolts I could try in it that might work a little better? Also, I think I would buy those breech pins just to rule it out as a potential but I cannot find them online? Anyone know of a place to get them? I checked with te Angel tent and the techs at NPPL OC. Neither had them. Fixmyangel.com may so I will check there but if anyone knows another place to order them....Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I also read the thread about the breach showing damage if it had been fired without the bolt in. Mine does not have any damage like that.

Does it stick when you are low on air, or even with a full tank?

there are 2 screws that you can adjust with an allen key.It is the one which holds the breach.Than your problem should be gone..

I had the same problem...I increased my ABS setting and it did the trick. Haven't had the bolt stick since then.

oiling the bolt on this model will not swell the bolt but its still not a good idea as it attracts dirt. try to loosen the 2 grub screws that hold the breach pins in and see if this solves the issue. if so great. if not look at the lpr pressure and try raising the dwell to 7ms. report back

Thanks for all the posts. I will try loosening the pins. I have tried the ABS settings by upping them already. No luck but I could try upping it more. I did set the pressure with the gauges. I will try settign the dwell at 7 if it is not fixed wit hthe pin adjustments. Thanks all for your help. Like I said I really love this gun and want to become a supporter of Angels. This type of forum is really helpful to new people like myself.

If you accidently fired the marker and the breach poped open, it may have smacked the body and bent the pins/screws holding the breach. Happened to me and a few others i know. Will need to replace those.

damn man that really sux! can you say...fragile gun ?
Actually it takes several times of firing the breech open to create such damage. How do we know, because we have run several tests and as result added a much harder pin to alleviate the bending of the pins. This way if the user does fire open the breech due to improper use the pins will be fine you will however eventually mar the body of the gun.
