Just another example of what WDP goes through to make sure that players shooting Angels are at the top of their game when it comes to their marker. Actually being able to play ball however is still left up to the individual players. Of course, it's only a matter of time before they figure out how to help improve that also. Thanks WDP!

Another GREAT reason to wait for the 2nd and 3rd gen. guns to come out with all the new stuff. redesigned hammer, new detents, software updates(free). exhaust valve, thicker arms for eyes. and the settings for you to match your gun with the pro's. WDP FOR LIFE!!!

Well for us brits they've helped with that to with their 'Sup-Air-Sundays' at their basset pole site (NPF). Joy have done a few clinics there as well just in case regular sup air isn't enought !!

what do you guys think about the new ram hammer? i talked to bob and he recommends that if you dont have the new style hammer and want it, that you should send in your gun, as the ram shaft can be easily damaged because the hammer is loctited and torqued on. Im considering whether i should send it in or not, my parents dont like the idea since i just got the gun. Or, i could try to install the new hammer myself and risk messing up and ruining the warranty...hmm...

mt=god
you=not lol just send it in, dont bother to risk it.

second that. loctited and torqued. leave it to the Techs. it's what they do and will be under warranty. if my kid told me that, I would understand.

Since the gun still works fine, i think im just going to leave it. maybe when i actually really need to send it in, then i will have the hammer replaced too...

:biggthump That sounds like a great idea. The new hammer doesn't look very significantly lighter than the stock hammer, at least not compared to a nylon or delrin one. I wouldn't void my warranty over it.

im wondering how could you torque the hammer? since its round... im an aircraft mechanic and i never saw any tool that could torque any rounded material. may be someone (bob) could enlighten me. unless there is a special tool for it.

Maybe a MT or someone will answer your question. Whenever I take hammers on or off though (more often than you would think) I slide a chunk of automotive heater hose that is a good fit over the hammer and clamp it with vise grips. I use a smaller piece of hose that is slit down one side on the ram shaft and clamp it in a small vice, being careful not to damage the ram shaft o-ring.

I use a dab of blue loctite on the hammer and setscrew and torque it to "firmly snug".

Torque as in the the hammer has been screwed on with great force i.e. extremely tight, snug etc... The point is it is quite easy to damage the shaft of the ram, if the proper actions and/or tools are not used.

i know that you have to torque the screw ecth. but he making sound like you have to torque the rammer to the shaft. i was thinking that it was the screw you have to torque. and also for great reference to much improve wdp's manual ("i have to say wdp's manual is outstandingly written") is to the torque of every screws. this would become like the bmw's of all markers and also just in case ppl like me like to "do it yourself" on everything. oh by the way bob what's the torque on the screw for the rammer? im assuming 15-25 inch pounds. i checked our bible torque wrench manual and im not sure whats the thread size for this screw. i do have a dial torque wrench ranging from 0-100 inch pounds.

Is the new light hammer, bolt and eye covers under warranty?
I am using my spare bolt as the blue thingy is gone and have snapped the right side of my eye covers last weekend.
Just wondering what i should do being all the way over or down here in Australia.
Just lucky i purchased a few spares from WDP England after reading a few posts as spares are hard to come by here.
Please help.

I know the eye covers aren't covered under warranty unless they're the old style ones, but I'd like to know about the other stuff as well.

Are the new changes in the bolt softer face and more durability/last longer? Anything else?
