can someone explain dewll to me and what will happen on my G7 joy if i put the dewll up to 18 or down to 7....what is the difference

The higher the dwell, the longer the valve will stay open. So up to a point, the lower the valve stays open, the higher velocity. It goes hane in hand with the minireg pressure. If you use a higher minireg pressure, you can use a lower dwell. If you use a lower minireg pressure, must use a higher dwell time.

18 is theoretically the most consistent setting because it creates the most deliberate movement of the ram, but it slows the gun down a lot and it chugs the air. 7 is the opposite, but can also break paint. Generally it's best to have the dwell set at 10 or 11 for cold days, and 8 or 9 for warm ones. Adjust HPR to velocity, and try to keep your LPR between 45 and 65. It's all about tinkering and sweetspotting.
