I've noticed that with many marker companies. You buy a marker....still sealed in the box and it has a leak or some other problem. I am thinking that many of these places assemble the marker but do not test it before it goes out. Of course if you buy your Angel from an MT they do run some shots through it to give it a bit of a test. I just bought an A1 from FMA and Bob replaced the eye strap and detents before he shipped it to me.
That being said. There are always going to be the occasional problem with new markers....but there does seem to be more being reported with the A1.

We just received 10 A1's last week and of them 3 needed attention. Two of which could / should easily have been picked up at quality control level ! That said tho when you've got back orders to fill and Christmas coming ??

I love WDP and have owned everyone of there model of markers for sometime.. but somethings got me stumped.. I do realize 90% of problems with markers are user created.. but at the sametime the issues ive seen here all are the same. How did you not realize/see these problems during tests.. or was the gun just made and shipped out not caring about the $1000 + people have put out on these guns. At this point im really losing faith with them because there popping out 2-3 versions a year and the quality seems to be getting worse and worse. This is not a rant/bashing of the company just more of a "wtf is going on over there"
I feel the exact same way man... Except every time I post something even remotely similar to what you just did my post gets deleted for not praising the A1 or something like that.
You should NOT have to buy your gun from a master technician and have to send it to a master technician every time some tiny thing happens that wouldn't have happened had WDP made the A1 with as much precision as the previous angels.

to kind of change the subject..i went back to see if anyone deleted any posts and cannot find any.your posts will not be deleted for any reason unless you have caused trouble, started a fight or directly were derogetory to me,bob or any other member that was not in the spirit of a fair fight. now saying this please forward me any posts or give me a general idea when or what it was so i can look further. we do not delete based on your opinions. that is not fair.
now, you are correct you should not need to send your new gun to us to get it right. we are aware of a handful of issues that have long been recognized and all have a correction.
stu, i would be intrested as to what store you are rom and get the serial numbers of the guns you have recieved so we can look into this more. please email them to me a ken@performanceangel.com. this would be a big help in solving your issues. as well a contact phone number would help.

well Ken I had suggested that pbstr4l here maybe go buy a G7 and sell his A1...
the reason i suggested this is because i personally feel the a1 is not as good as the g7 platform...i did NOT post those words though... only posted that he should sell his a1.
I wasn't trying to start a fight at all or get anyone riled up. But everything after stu's last post about his 10 a1's was erased which included my post/suggestion and another members post after mine.
This is also not the 1st time it has happened either KEN. Other posts I have made about the a1 have also been erased in the past. None of them containing any controversial or offensive material.
The only reason I mentioned my post getting erased is because it was just ereased.
EDIT: this is where my post has been deleted as well http://www.angelowners.com/showthread.php?t=62238
I posted here saying that WDP has had rolling production changes on the gun which is why they are coming out with replacment parts for the gun later like better eye covers, bolts with little holes drilled in them, and ball detents. Then I added WDP charges for these items when they should be free.
POST was deleted a while later

ok so someone here deleted the post. cant find it but it may have been deleted as it was determined not to be helpful as you suggested getting a g7 rather than fixing his a1.we try and run a tight ship so as to keep these fourms helpful. we will move past this. if anyone is having issues they cant resolve just contact one of us. we will help you make your guns work as they should.we dont delete posts to hide anything we never have. were more than aware of the few issues people are having and like i have stated we have corrections for any issue you may come across that isnt related to stuff other than the gun.

Ken, could you explain to me why it is that the blue part in the bolt keeps breaking ? Up to my 3rd bolt here !
Jeroen
P.S. It is not that easy to send my A1 to an MT as I live in the Caribbean.

shrinkage in the rubber used. email to frazer@wdp.tv and have your model and serial and dealer and he will ship you a new one.

Thank you Ken for your timely reply.
Is there anything different about a new bolt than the one I am using now ?
Otherwise I see this "problem" returning on a regular basis. I wouldn't mind that WDP has to keep sending bolts but I hardly think that that will be the solution.

I know some guns have broken bolts of the early version repeatedly because they were missing the ball in the front reg (for whatever reason) which puts massive pressure into the gun making the bolt strike excessively hard. Not a fault of the gun itself but in fact a missing vital part. It's vital on earlier Angel models too.
If you haven't checked that it's there, have a look to make sure.

Its not the bolt itself but the blue "plastic" thingy in the front of the bolt.

Our team just played with our A1's for the first time Sunday. Two of eight markers had broken the blue plastic portion of the bolt within an hour. Is this piece critical, I have heard it both ways, and what is it's function?
Many Thanks

Yes. If you want your Angel 1 to perform as advertised, the blue soft face is essential. If you don't believe me, get some REALLY fragile paint and do some tests with it and without it (if you have access to a broken bolt and a good one). The results speaks for themselves.

^^ True, but we've run one with a broken 'kiss' piece with no problem. Just depends on you paint. It should'nt ruin your day but I'd still get a new one (warrenty item) ASAP
