ok, well i was using a high pressure output tank for a while and didn't even know about it. I got a low pressure spring kit put on the reg of the tank, and got it tested, and it was outputing a constant pressure of 350psi. I screw it into my angel g7 and it a first seems like it trys to push the ram into the reward position, but cant so makes that automatic firing noise, then after about 3 seconds, it just leeks the air out. what do you think my problem is, and how much do think it will cost to fix? thanks!

When you air it up, hold the bolt back with your finger or a swab.

yea, that worked. thanks! i turned the air off, then back on expecting it to do it again, but no, i didnt have to hold it in place the secodn time. do you think it will only do it that time, or it will do it every now and then. cz if its gonna do it every now and then, im gonna get it fixed, at the companies expense who sold the tank to me sayin it had a low pressure output on the tank

I don't know; I don't own a G7 series Angel. It's not an uncommon problem.

The reason this happened: you had a HP tank- when you put your new Lp tank on your mini reg was addjusted to your HP input. With a Lp input your mini reg is way off, this is why your marker was acting like you are out of air. The next time your around a chrono you'll notice your fps is low, after you adjust this you should not have this same problem.

You also said that your tank reg is at 350 consistently. I had a reg on my G7 that was about the same output. It's to low. Should be minimum 400, better at 450. You will get noticeable drop off with that lower pressure when you fire at higher speeds. My crono was also all over the place at that low pressure too. As soon as I got the 450 consistently I could hammer the G7 like nobody's business. Get that reg looked at!

ok, well its a pure energy tank, and there before it had a high pressure spring kit in it, and now i put the low pressure spring kit in it. pmi says the low pressure spring kit should bring it to a 500psi output and the guy at paintball central (local store) said it had an output pressure of 350psi. i dont think he filled a lot of air in it when he checked it, so that might of had something to do with it, and if it is a 350psi output pressure, i dont know what to do, because you either have a high pressure spring kit on it, or a low pressure and thats it, no in between changing. (the sprign is made up of 10-12 dented washer type things, very similar to the shimmys used on the lpr system and mini reg of the g7, so its not like a regualr spring that i can cut.)

Then again like the Angel setup he might have gotten the spring stack in wrong. That would be the pressure difference your seeing. As long as he had enough pressure in the tank at testing to be above say 600 to 700 psi you should have seen it higher on the output side. Might take a full tank to get the pressure on the spring stack to settle in. I would try that before you look into tearing it apart and looking for a problem. I would also get the breakdown diagrams for LP setup for that reg from the manufacturer. If you do find after the full tank that something is amiss at least you have something to reference to see if that is the problem. A good cleaning and regrease might be the ticket to!

ok, thanks! im looking into a guarilla reg anyway, so that might solve the problem.

Gahhh, I got one of them to! Seems as though mine is only at 350psi out presently. Ken said he has seen others doing the same thing including the one he has got. I pulled mine down and regreased it. Haven't aired it up yet to check it out. So verdict is still out on it. If it is still giving me problems back to them it goes. Oh ya, it is bran spanking new to boot! A little pricey to be having problems with out of the package.

Thats the same reg i use - i love it- but they had a bad batch of springs recently. Some have a harmonic that causes a "ping" when you shoot. Others are just low, this was a supplier problem not the companies. Call them or send them an e-mail they really take care of there customers.

I have a pure energy 72/4500 and i installed the low pressure spring kit and the output pressure is at 400. see if the old one (hp spring kit) has any shims you can use
