Is it possible to update the software on an A1 using a Mac?

If you are running OSX on your mac then no, it is not possible. These updates are meant for the PC. If you have a macbook though and are able to run windows on it, then yes, it is possible. I use a mac and the only way i can update my A1 is to borrow my dad's PC from his office. I hope we will see mac compatable software downloads in the future.

wait so can I just use any Mini cable?

Any mini USB to regular USB cable should work. You dont need a special cable for the A1, just a regular digital camera usb cable should work fine.

You guys have no idea how much it would help if someone could port the updates and software over to a mac based client. i cant update my gun because i dont have a pc. my dad brought his pc home from work but the last step wont work because you need an administrators password to update the gun and hes not an admin.
