I recently traded a G7 to someone who is having problems with it.
Here's what he says is wrong with it, in our AIM conversation....
***************: Well, when i plug it in to charge, the green light turns on and the BLUE LCD screen lights up
***************: then i unplug it, after about 2-3 hours of charging, i flip the on/off switch
***************: and nothing happens
--------------------------------------
Another part:
Decker9 2K: How did you go about turning it on?
***************: i tied flipping the switch
***************: holding the button
***************: nothing works.
***************: unless its a different way to turn it on
Decker9 2K: well, one thing, what happened while charging it? Was anything on the screen, etc?
***************: it was blue
Decker9 2K: the screen?
***************: yea
***************: and there was a green light on top of where you plugi t in
What is going on with the G7? What can he/I do?
Thanks everyone for the help, I feel like a big asshole, because due to the owner prior to me of this marker not following through in getting me a replacement charger, I had to make this poor guy wait to start this marker off.

To charge the gun has to be on.
The screen will say charging
Turning it on is as simple as that. Turn the switch on....lol
It should be in saftey when first turned on if I remember right (been using Tadao so long can't remember!)
The light above the charger is telling status as well as the LCD screen.
Red = saftey
Green= Live
Holding the trigger with no paint will turn off the eyes after you first turn it on.
Most if not all if this is stated in the G7 manual that you can download off this web site.
Hope that helps!

Ok, here's what's going on now, this time in PbN-PM forum:
i have now tried it in the ON and OFF position... When i plug it in it says 91:SA on the BLUE LCD screen then it changes to a PHRON. That is what it does on both on and off positions.

Doah! Did it take a charge with the power switch on?
Again....
Turn the marker ON
Plug in charger
Screen will read charging
Let charge for a few hours.
Put ball in breach
Stick it to head
Pull trigger!

I don't know....I mean, this is what the guy is telling me. I'll see what he says, I'll copy what you said....Thanks for the help so far.
However, the guy apparently had the marker taken to a non-Angel tech before I got him a charger just to see if the guy knew anything about the G7, and he had thought that there was a disconnection in from the board to the battery. Could this have anything to do with it?
PHRON is the gun telling you to "PWR ON" flip the switch to ON and connect the charger,,,now the screen should say charging,,,, see page 3 in the manual

Thanks mate, I'll send it to the guy, see what he says. If anyone else has more advice, feel free to share, please.

His response on AIM:
*************: I flipped the switch over 20 and it said the same thing every time
He says it still says PHRON even after he flips the switch over and over.
He will be getting us a video of what he is doing and what is happening later.

Are you sure its an "H" and not a "W"? PWRON= PWR ON= Power On? Couldn't really tell from the vid.
Good Luck...

It looks like a W to me.

he needs to plug in the marker and then flip the switch up to on. and then walk away. it doesnt alway start instantly. and he probably cant stop messing with that switch long enough to let it start.

He's tried that, I don't believe it worked.
He said he opened the gun up and it appeared 1 of 2 wires connected to the battery was appeared to be disconnected. Could this be the problem? He's going to take a picture of it.

Then the gun would not power on at all if one of the wires was not connected. Has he indicated in anyway how many bars are showing on the battery meter on the display? Why is it that he thinks it is not taking a charge? The gun turns on with out the charger turned on right? Can you hear the solenoid click with a trigger pull? Do the eyes turn on and off by holding the trigger for 3 to 5 seconds on each pull?
Lastly, has he registered to post on AOG... Has he downloaded the manual and asking questions that would indicate that he read the manual and has an understand of the marker???
Enough questions! lol

Haha, sorry mate. No. I have to do it for him, for some reason, because I guess he thinks I sent him a broken marker.
I shot it the day before I sent it to him.
Oh well, it's going down the tubes now anyway, apparently the cheque for $150 I sent him with the gun didn't cash or something.
Thanks for the help mates, I'll send him all the new help.

Here is what is disconnected, in picture-form...How can he fix this? If it needs soldering, where does he solder it?
Heres what i got when i took the gun apart.

it looks like the + (red) cable from the battery is cut,,, buy a new batterypack, or if you are handy just do some soldering :)
to solder it you must cut the plastic open to expose the batterys inside, and then you will need som new "shrinktube" hahahaha i dont know the english word for it :) but kind of a plastic hose that shrinks when heated :)

Also- when you remove the back cover plate, the breach knob needs to be removed. You have also removed the hammer by not doing this. Be sure to follow the manual when you re-install it.
Good-luck
