yeah umm, does this thing come out, because i've just about taken everyting off the gun, and looked through the forums and found all these tips where ppl just push out the LPR from the back. I have an 05 speed and i trying to put my JDS LPR on.

Have you taken the foregrip off? Under the foregrip is a pin in the body that holds the LPR in place. Pull out that pin and then you can push the LPR straight out the front with a squeejee. You do not need to reinstall that pin with the JDS LPR.

o wow, i thought that thing was there just to keep the minireg in place, because i thought that was the pin at first and i couldnt get it out by hand.

I even took a soldering iron to try and break up the loctie before unscrewing it.
I've bent 2 allen keys so far...:pisss:

alright, it took me 30 minutes to decide to take this over to my local pro-shop, and to fill my tank because after 30 mins of trying to take the screw off i gassed it up to see what would happen...nothing but leaks.

Not to get to off track... i go in and bring my gun and show him whats up, and i show him the screw and gauge, and he tells me its green loctite and that i shouldnt try to unscew it.

what should i do? D:

Heat is the answer to get loctite loose. The trick is to heat the screw but not so much as to take the temper out of the screw. To do that takes allot of heat BTW. If you use a torch heat a piece of metal rod held in pliers. Then touch that to the back of the gun and hold it there till the gun butt gets pretty warm. Then while warm remove the screw by backing out a 1/2 turn then tighten it a little and back it out more. Use that same process till the screw is out. The reason you do this is to keep the loosened locktite from packing up in the threads and creating a new bond.

cant get it still? did you just try to turn as hard as you can to break it?
i did that with no heat and all of a sudden i hear a cracking sound- whihc was the loctite snapping. keep at it- youll get it eventually lol

yea mine all just broke free. but i have some really good allen keys. MAC Tools. you get what you pay for. ive taken that grub out of 4 markers. just make sure you are using the right sized key and turn it until it either breaks free or breaks the allen key. its a 4mil key

Alright so here is where im at right now,

after about a few weeks of on and off messing with the screw, doing w/e i can to try and get it out, it finally breaks the loctite and comes out, HOWEVER; since one good thing happens another thing has to break because thats the rule of life and i should get used to it.

I still have all the stock parts in but when i air it up it seems to leak from the back of the not where the gauge is but where the solenoid is, and also the gun stopped turning on too, the only thing i could think of was a diff battery but that didnt work either.

Check your battery connections-switch might be bad
as for you solinoid grease your gaskets. also what part of long island are you from?

A) how do i check if the switch is bad, i was thinking just connect the two wires considering thats waht a switch does.
B)Greasing it didnt work though im not too sure about that
C)I'm from Glen cove

a) is your battery connection to the board snug? did this start out of nowhere?
b) did you make sure to do both sides(top/bottom) if not youll have to grease/replace the o-ring in noid.
c) im from massapequa park

A) yes this started out of nowhere, i went to turn it on once and the lights flashed on and then turned off, and it never turned on again. Even after a new batter.
B)I did make sure i greased everything, and i did it really carefully and it seemed to help the leak, but it didnt stop the leak.
C) My cousin lives there :D

A) Try wiggling the battery a little and see if it comes on. My 06 Speed was not making good contact with the battery and would turn off if you moved the battery slightly. I lightly sanded the battery contacts with an emery board and it fixed it.

B) Does tighening/loosening the screw on top of the solenoid cover make any difference? This screw pushes the solenoid against the gasket. It should not have to be very tight.

btw what version do you have?
if you get it to turn on, air it up see if leak is still there- if so-dry fire and it should go away.
yea as boost stated make sure the screw is snugly tight-but not too much.
also what is his name?

tighening and loosing the screw on the top doesnt change much except the looser it gets the more it leaks, i played around with the battery and switch a little and thats just got me stumped, the board is version 6, and my cousins name is Mario Murphy
