Pipe or Freak Kit?????

Should i get a pipe or a freak kit. I heard the pipe is easier to clean on the field and seals better and you dont have to worry about bending the inserts, but the freak kit has a better overall finish so i wouldnt mind some feedback. Thanks

freak all the way imo i think its great for matching paint, and you can match the barrel look to your gun with the color availabilies.

from what I hear, the pipe is the better barrel, but the freak system is also very nice but is probably more eye-candy than performance.

Freak forever! looks better and no inserts dont bend unless maybe u step on it :doh: its an awesome barrel. Also heard the pipe is really loud.

you have more inserts with freak and yes i have had to use for small inserts and larger ones. Freak is pretty much the original I wouldnt go for a business that makes money off copies.

Just to add to the confusion, what has everyone heard about the Empire barrel set? Great idea that you get the bore sizes and all the lengths in one set, but I havent heard much about their accuracy.

Freak. Can easily cahnge lengths as well you can just buy a different back if you change guns

yes pipes are loud
i seen a timmy this weekend and he chronoed with the stock before games started and when he put the pipe on it later it was WAY louder

The freak wasnt the first. The Bob Long Long Shot or OTP were the first to do inserts for a barrel. SP just expanded on the idea, just like other companies have done on the Freak.

I would choose the freak because there are 8 inserts rather than the pipes 5 which would give you better paint/barrel match. Also the freak system is quieter since there is more porting. The Freak with AA is just as easy to clean as the pipes and the Freak has been around for a while.

On the other hand, you wouldn't have to worry about possibly bending the inserts with the pipes, and Evil has an extremely strict tolerance with the bore size which ensures you have a great paint/barrel match.

yeah, i hear the all-american fronts are easy to clean so go with freak

I use Freak with AA front because they do clean easier and I have found the shot groupings to be tighter.
