g7 air?

ok, i finally got to shoot my g7 the other day. still dosent have eyes or the vienier wheel parts, and had to borrow a friends egg loader (have a halo with a b3 cheetah board on its way), but i did finaly get the tank. its a 72ci 4500psi tank. just a quick question. i only got about 1,000 (maybe a litle under) worth of shots out of it. i thought the g7 was supposed to get around 1200 on a 68ci, and this is a 72ci, so do i need to do some adjusting, or is that around where it should be. thanks!

you know what, i have no idea. i bought this marker off of pbnation about a month ago (as a few here already know) and this is the first time i have shot it. i know to change the lpr you have to change the number of fittings in it right?

cz i got it preowned from a guy on pbnation that said it "was in perfect shape" still a good deal for around $600. im workin on gettin the parts.

i know this might not be the reason but is your tank lp??

actually, i just found out that it was hp. i ordered it from paintballgateway.com and they said on the page that i ordered it from, that it had an output pressure of 450psi. it was a 72ci, 4500psi tank. i called pmi to check about it, and they said very rarley do they have tanks come out of the factory low pressure, so they told me to check the nubmer of shimmy spring things on it, and sure enought it was hp. its ok, because they shipped out a lp shimmy spring kit to me for free. thanks pmi for the great service. and im never doing bussines again with paintballgateway again, just for plain out false information. i sent them an email about it around a week ago, and havent heard anything from them.

but anyway, after i figured that out, i figured that might factor into why im getting less shots, since the reg was setup before probably for a lp input. do you think thats what the problem is?

yep the G7 and G7 Fly are both lp regs. so you should get better effeciency now that you have a lp tank. If you still are having problems you might have screwed up your reg by using a hp tank. If the problem persists, contact WDP or one of the MTs.
