Go to any of the MT's sites, they should have a switch with the wires correctly placed. Hope you got a really good deal, and that is the only thing wrong with it.
smrtprts
10-13-2006, 07:38 PM
So there is definitely something wrong then?
Edit - Well, its looking like some stuff is wrong with it.

nothin a little solder and some spair wire couldn't fix though, it doesn't appear to have damaged the switch so just patch her up
RangerJoe

There's exposed wire ends leading to the power switch, and you wonder why it wont turn on. Hrm....
Bust out the soldering iron; I have had to do it several times.

What did you solder?

personally, i dont think its funny.
Im sure you are more than annoyed , and anyone else if you recieved a marker in that condition.
A bit of soldiering should do the trick, and see if you can get hold of some heat shrink.
With the Toggle switch pointing down in the off position , the red wire should be connected to the middle terminal.
The black wire connected to the top terminal.
Hopefully the battery and board are still working.
Good luck.

Yeah, I do not either. I was horrified when I got it.
So long story short heres what went wrong.
Was not told about
-missing grip screw
-wires are ALL stripped
-sent me a drop+asa combo instead of a uni which was planned
-back of grip is missing a protective piece that goes in the charger spot
-detent are blown
-wont turn on
-wont charge properly
I knew about
-needing new eyes
-small leak from gasket in noid
-needing new screw for back plate
Traded him my nerve.
When I got the gun and saw this I immediately called him 3 times on cell, 3 times on house, PM'd and emailed him. I finally got ahole of him 3 hours later and he told me he would call me back once he got home. Do I have reason to be upset?

-missing grip screwCheap enough to buy
-wires are ALL strippedIf its just the switch wires, then just a quick repair
-sent me a drop+asa combo instead of a uni which was planned Not a major problem, i never liked the unimounts
-back of grip is missing a protective piece that goes in the charger spot sounds like piece has broken off, cover can be replace
-detent are blown detents are easy to replace
-wont turn onobvious
-wont charge properlyobvious
I knew about
-needing new eyes eyes ribbon easily found at AOG sponsor stores
-small leak from gasket in noidreplacement gasket
-needing new screw for back platecheap enough

Yeah Nitro. I guess I just need a grip screw, eyes, detents, solder the wires back to place, plug the missing charger spot, lube and clean the gun then I should be good to go. Myabe trade micro drop for a rail.
This is going to sound dumb, but I cant get the breech back into place..

dude how much did you buy this gun for? i have a feeling you got jewed so instead of putting more money into fixing it get a hold of the asshole that sold you this and beat him silly (in a non-sexual way) untill you get you money back. snoogens.

There were a few ups but nothing amazing. I feel like crap after this trade.. sigh.. I wish I could go back in time and not do it. Any ideas how I can find a local angel tech in my area so I could give him the gun locally to fix it?

The only thing wrong was it had shootdown, just needed the HPR lubed. He also said that it was missing a screw in the LPR cap and the grips were falling apart too.

He also said that it was missing a screw in the LPR cap and the grips were falling apart (not true, I have pics to prove it) I told him he should pay for the repair problems that he didnt tell me about but he wont. in this case you should deal with what happened, send your gun into an MT and have him fix it up.

Yeah, I PM'd Bob and emailed ken. Thanks all!
Quick question. I have looked at the maunal for the board and its confusing the hell out of me. Waayy too many things to change, but I fell stupid asking this but how can I change the gun to make the noid click?
Shooters~SOBA
10-14-2006, 07:46 PM
if the gun wont turn on your noid wont click
smrtprts
10-14-2006, 07:47 PM
No, it turns on. I got my dad to fix all of the wires. Electrician FTW.
Shooters~SOBA
10-14-2006, 07:48 PM
well thats good, you probably need to turn vision off or change modes.
smrtprts
10-14-2006, 07:49 PM
Well theres no eyes yet and the LED is blinking red (eyes off i believe) so I guess I need to change modes. Can you expalin it quickly?
Shooters~SOBA
10-14-2006, 07:52 PM
well the fact that you have no eyes is part of the reason why the solonoid wont click. Take off your grip panel there should be a blue and yellow button, if the gun is on live then hold the top membrane butten on the back of the gun untill the led blinks green (this should be in the manual btw) press the yellow button to get the the advanced menu and the blue button to scroll untill it says mode 1 , mode 2... another possobility is that it needs to be charged
smrtprts
10-14-2006, 07:59 PM
When I get to the menu, it stops at mode then when I press blue it resest, also when I press yellow it resets?
Also what is the kind of buzzing sound the board makes when the backlight is on?
for2nato
10-14-2006, 08:30 PM
the buzzing happens on alot of boards. its not a big deal, just caused by the lighting technology they use. quick way to test the noid is to hold down the trigger down for 2 sec. this will ensure that the eyes are off. if your having this many problems though you should just send the marker to bob and have him service it for you. it will come back to you in tip top shape ready to mow faces.
smrtprts
10-14-2006, 08:33 PM
Yeah, I am in the middle of confirming stuff with him, then I will ship it out :) (assuming it wont cost tons of $)

2 more questions:
1. The buttons on the back of grip, the nobs that click the switch are very off. The top one of fine, but the bottom 2 are barely hitting the bottom of the switch. Can I adjust it or is it normal?
http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/4241/picture001es6.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
2. Does this mean the board is warrantied?
http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/1166/picture002uf1.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
thatguy!
10-14-2006, 09:08 PM
From what I can remember, solid red means eyes off. Hold the trigger down for a couple seconds and it should vibrate or cycle once (proably vibrate.)
Why are the two bottom buttons a different size than the top one?
Arguable. I don't see why you'd ever have a problem with the board itself though.
smrtprts
10-14-2006, 09:18 PM
Thats what I am trying to find out, it is weird to me because they dont even work well. I dont think I would have a problem with the board, just nice to know that it has a warranty if needed. As for the noid clicking, i have tryed everything to get it to click. Ill wait till I send it to Bob from FMA if I do, he should be able to fix it.
