Please do not do that!!! I know that its BAD because the dow grease is much thicker than the love juice. this will give you severely slower rates of fire, it jams the ram up bad. after that little incedent, i had to totally tear down my a4 NOT VERY FUN!! i now justput a few drops of oil ( shocktech turbine oil) in the asa before i go out to play. 500,000 shots an no problems

Grease _preferably Dow 33, which includes Shocker lube) should be used on all o-rings, but oil should go where there's moving parts, especially the ram shaft.

However, using Dow 55 wont kill it, but most people (especially ex-matrix owners) don't have it lying around. My ram is greased, not oiled, and it works great. Oil is probably a better choice for it though. Don't run oil through your mini-reg either. A couple drops into the exhaust valve every few cases is widely accepted.

yea shocker lube is fine. only put it on the orings. and you dont need alot of it. just enough to coat the surface.

pb4him: sounds like you put greese in your asa and fired the marker. you only do that with oil. grease goes directly on the o rings when you break down and service your marker. if youve fired 500000 shots and never greased your marker, you probably have extensive wear that you are not yet aware of. it may not have given you problems yet. but when it does it will be alot of problems. just some advise, take it or leave it.

I also own a 2k2 shocker that i regularly lube and i know how to use dow. i did put it on only the orings, rubbed on with my finger. It was still too thick.

it just means you put it on too heavy. wdp and the mt's recomend a grease service at 8000 shots or so. if you know something they dont then please enlighten us. otherwise dont tell someone not to do a recomended service on they're marker just cause you did it wrong.

no tri-flow is a petroleum based product and will most likely cause damage
