Hello!

Just got myself a G7, and I'm having problems opening/closing the
breech lid. Had the thing in pieces today, and seems the ram does not contract as much as it should, so the bolt pin jams where it's supposed to go in/out when closing/opening the breech.

Is there a way to adjust the ram? Or should I be looking for a new ram...

Thanks in advance

When you want to open the breech, make sure that the bolt is in the back position by putting your finger in the feedneck and pressing the bolt back AFTER you have turned the knob all the way clockwise. The breech should open.

When you want to put the bolt in, be sure that the knob is still turned all the way clockwise. If you have moved the knob at all during this, it will not go all the way back. I use the pin of the bolt to push the hammer in the back position. This will let you put the bolt back and close the breech door.

Now, if you have the G7 gassed up, it will always be in the back position and you will not have to manually push the bolt/hammer back to open the breech.

It sounds like that is the problem you are having. Hope it helps.
