Today was my second day at the field with my One, and I'm a much happier man now... it seems it didn't like the paint I was forced to use at that field for some reason, very inaccurate... today I got some higher grade stuff and was much more pleased on that dept., almost as accurate as my DM, which is saying something IMO... I'm still having some real bad FSDO, even thou I got the Joy/Rage settings, some 6k shots thru it, and I play a game, turn it around and by the time I'm to start a new game the first ball almost rolls out of the barrel... I increased the ABS to 0.50 and it seems a tad better... any suggestions?? Thanks in advance...

Make sure it's well lubed, i'm not an expert in the technical area, but that is one area i think you probably know, but it never hurts to at least add my noob opinion.

it may be your detents not holding the ball in place and lettin it push forward thus not allowing the bolt to make enough contact w/ the ball? The detents gp bad really quickly, you can buy a 12 pack off fixmyangel.com for $12. That may be the problem, it may not be, anyone else have an idea/know what the problem is?

I don't think so, detents I mean.. it holds the paint just fine, but the first shot's just really low, after that it's fine... you guys don't get that at all?

It sounds like a O ring issue. If you don't use a gun for a short time the O rings seat and stick. On or 2 shots frees them up and off you go. It probably wouldn't hurt to pull it down and relube all the O rings with grease. Then reassemble and put a few drops of oil in your ASA and dry fire 20 or so shots to work the oil through.

I'm assuming you're talking about the ram o-rings? Taking the gun apart sounds like an extreme solution, at least at this point... nobody would increase the ABS? Would that be a bad idea?

Anybody? Bob? Ken? No suggestions? Nobody going thru something similar?

What is the output pressure of your tank (not what the manufacturer says but actual output), minireg out put pressure and LPR pressure? What is your dwell set at?

My dwell's set at 6.5 m/secs (Joy settings), but I'm not sure how to check the other values you ask... Ken had said that to adjust the mini reg around 270-ish, all I had to do was to set the dwell first, then adjust to field legal velocity and I should be close enough... as for the tank output, I don't know how to measure it... I have an Angel Air tank 68/45, with the Angel preset LP regulator...

Put dwell back to 9ms and set minireg pressure to 270psi and LPR to 60psi. I also recommend having the air system reg tested.

Thanks for the attention, Bob. I'll try that and let you know what happens...

I was just reading your post on PBN. Have you tried raising the dwell? Have you inspected the ram? Have you tested your pressures yet?

No, I didn't have a chance to try anything... I tried last weekend raising the ABS a bit while still at the field, and it seemed a tad better, but I kept the dwell the same... I've looked at the ram as well as I could without opening the marker and it seems fine... gonna try to test out my pressure at the field this weekend... thanks for the attention again...

Increasing the ABS does nothing with the new low friction ram. When you tilt the gun back and forth that clunking sound is the ram. It's not going to stick causing first shot dropoff. WDP just put the ABS adjustment in there because lots of other guns need it and customer input dictated that the A1 should have it also.

The first thing you need to do is check your tank output while firing. Is the first shot out of your tank low after sitting for a while?

Yes, but a short while, like few minutes or so... I don't really know how to measure the output pressure of my tank, was hoping to ask someone over at the field this weekend, but I got sick and couldn't go... I'd be real grateful if somebody could please tell me how...

Take it to a shop, they should be able to measure it for you with a gauge.

Thank you Bleda, will do it as soon as I get a chance... busy, busy...

try raising the dwell to 7 or increase the abs 1 number or percent at at a time and see where the drop off stops and report back to bob or i. the abs will ramp the dwell for the first shot then drop out. this will be a help in troubleshooting the problem.

Thank you Mr. Crane, I'll surely try that and will let you know as soon as I can, only afraid it's not happening till next weekend thou, when I'll get a chance to play again...
