right now, my halo b ways just as much as my A1, if not more. so i want to lighten it up somehow. i have a halo b with rip drive and a v35 board. this is what i am considering getting to lighten it up.
-hybrid suicide shell - smoke
-9 volt mod
-speedfeed (not so much to lighten the gun...but i dont really like my current lid, it is magnetic and often opens when too much pressure is on it from the inside)
any suggestions?
anyone know of good places to buy those from?

first of all i think the magnetic lids for the new halos are excelent; just dont fill your hopper up so full. Theres no way to really lighten it because its going to become just a heavy when you put paint into it. The hybred shells are also quite nice i highly reccomend one but they just mane it easyer to clean, they wont reduce the weight. Speed feeds are also an excelent up for your hopper but if you think about it how long extra does it really take to fill your hopper if you have to open your lid? about a 2 seconds, so you'll barally be saving yourself any time at all and you'll pay like $17 is what they're charging now? so yeah i hope i answered your question.

ok if you read he said he didnt really like the magnetic cover........so i suppose how much hes spending on the new cover..and a lil more than 2 seconds...if your including getting a pod out then more..but even if you have a pod out then you open lid up(depending, some ppl haev them open before) then pour in...

If you want lightweight you should have gotten a Vlocity, you could still sell your halo and get one, I recently used one and I like it much better than my halo, the auto anti-jam and force settings are great. Plus the halo is like a brick (btw the suicide shells wont be any lighter) and they are $50 , so for your halo ($99), v35 board ($30ish) and suicide shells ($50) you are spending like $180 on a halo, and it wont be any lighter

omg, well you cleared that up soo well... i was just trying to make a point by saying it only takes a few extra seconds to open up your lid (which it does) but w/e if it makes you feel special to make those little corrections go ahead.

Read this and you might get a couple ideas on how to lighten your Halo (battery wise): THE HALO REPORT (LINK) (http://www.dcltech.com/haloreportv12.pdf).

get the li po batteries i have 4 sets they are very light and they will last about 2 cases on a charge with a chetah or emp b2 board they arent cheap but they will last a long time you can toss the hopper but keep the bats you can get them from a local hobby store or through a online hobby store like http:www.towerhobbies.com
they will cut the halos weight by 1/3d and are a great route too go

the speed feeds don't fit on the new halos with the magnetic lids the openings are a little smaller than the older ones and they dont snap on.

They do fit hybrid shells. But they aren't as tight I believe.

In 2 seconds you can fire 30-60 balls, to me thats alot of wasted time

In 2 seconds you can fire 30-60 balls, to me thats alot of wasted time sure you can fire 30-60 balls, that dosent mean you'll hit anyone, anyways like i said i was just trying to make a point of saying it dosent take that long to open your lid, and you really wont save that much time. for $17.00 to save 2 sec. (probably less) just dosent seem worth it, and if your good at paintball you wont need to.

Plus you should be able to reload while aiming anyway so however long it takes you to open yer damn lid doesn't even matter. :)
yeah and i doubt anyone is shooting 60 balls in 2 seconds anyway

if anybody can go 30 BPS for 2 seconds, i give them some serious props, cause i can only hit 15-22BPS (depending on which angel im using, IR3 or MT force 4) and thats peaking. and doing that while/right after reloading...they must have some seriously fast fingers.

30 bps for 2 seconds -at unlimited ramp and Q-loader maybe...
BTW, I just love when opponents use speed feed when it rains. Everyone should use one. Everyone else. :D
