Hi,
I was looking at getting a Halo B w/ Z-code + Rip Drive, for my A4 Fly. But I am reading that some angels dont agree with this type of hopper and chop alot. Does anyone know if this is true? any help would be great.
Thanks
Matt,

There were articles/reported problems in the past with angel speed 04 and most other older angels with or without the COPS sensor (which was a big needle protruding into the breech).
The problem with the COPS sensor was the fact that it simply protruded into the breech literally spearing paintballs if pressed onto hard enough; which the halo could do.
The only other reason you might have a problem with your NON-COPS angel (even if it has eyes) is the ball roll back problem wherein the paint which is force fed into the breech can result in a chop due to the main ball in the breech rolling back slightly giving the next paintball in line just barely enough room to poke into the breech causing it to cut it when the bolt comes forward to fire the main ball.
When this problem used to occur to me on my LCD/A4 FLY the bolt would come forward to shoot the main ball but instead of chopping the 2nd ball that was trying to be force fed thru was forced back up from the bolt coming forward and at the same time the halo is still trying to push it down and this caused multiple paintballs to become crushed in the feedneck.
The roll back problem is because there is a significant gap between where the ball falls in thru the neck and the bolt itself.
This problem is fixed in the G7-and onward versions by the roto-breech which uses the bolt to hold the breech closed instead of a rod and also closes the gap between feedneck and bolt. This gives the main ball in the breech no room to move around from the force of paintballs pressing on it from above and it all lines up nice...no chops.
There was also a solution to the roll-back problem for older model angels.
see link here. http://www.docsmachine.com/gear/dyna.html
see in the bottom left picture of the four how the 2nd ball peeks in causing chops.
This problem applies to your model angel even though it has eyes.
I had rasta A4 fly before i got me G7 fly and that was a main reason I switched but when I used the halo on my old A4 it worked well...but there was occasional breakage due to the roll-back problem.
I have yet to break a paintball in my G7 and it has just under 20k shots now and I have been using the same line of paint for a couple years and same barrel.
Edit: sorry for long post

In my 05 speed(had 1 1/2 years) havnt broken a single ball. But just yesterday unfortunally my halo did(with hellfire) this was the first tiem it did it. ALthough i did use hellfire before wiht my halo....tehn all the paint dripped down in my feedneck..my streams were pretty good though..my lazer eyes were always on and it shot suprisingly fast. just make sure your paint isnt too brittle.
