Well after selling all my gear about 7 years ago, I'm finally getting back into it!
Now if i could just find an A1 somewhere in Michigan,., any help trackin 1 down would be greatly appreciated.

Seven years?!? Wow, that's a long time... welcome back anyways, the game has changed quite a bit, but if you're looking for an A1, you probably already know that... why don't you ask the guys at fixmyangel.com, they'll help you out, I'm sure... or talk to John, at sobepaintball, he'll help you...

well I broke down and ordered 1 from exotic (Detroit) now I need to figure out my air/hopper set up that i'll use.. yah a Whole lot has changed in the game..

there are a ton of threads on what hopper and tank to use, I personally recommend the Viewloader Vlocity and a crossfire/nitro duck, lets not start that conversation here though, just look at the other threads

You cant go wrong with a halo b with rip drive and maybe an aftermarket board too. i would recommend a lp crossy air tank. either 45/45 or 68/45

I would not reccomend buying guns from big name internet paintball companies like actionvillage or firstcall, some sites take refurbished guns or guns with missing parts and try to sell them new without anyone noticing. like others said get it from an MT or a sponcer or even better the angel tent at an NPPL event. and as 4 a tank and hopper... any will do its all about preference.

On the hopper issue, I've heard that the Empire Reloaders don't work too well, being sound activated, supposedly the marker's too quiet for it to work properly.... wellcome back to the family, and congrats on your new Angel...

I got mine from FMA, and mine just came with the settings set to the default ones from WDP

If the marker comes direct from us, we check/set pressures and update the software. The factory is now sending the markers almsot identical to our settings.

I know that this is in the wrong section, but I cant seem to get any info from other threads. *when you shoot the a1, does it take a few shots for the paint to gradually reach lets say 30 feet? cause im haveing a problem with an ir3 not being reliable for the first 5-10 shots..

Well, if you're talking about first shot drop off, you have eletronic settings on the A1 stock board that are supposed to counter the bolt getting kinda stuck during a period of inactivity (marker not cycling)... with that said, I got last week some pretty bad FSDO on my first time on the field with the marker, and I had the "official" settings on it... now, if you have that on your first 5-10 shots, that sounds a bit more problematic... I never owned an IR3, so can't really help you there...

I Finally got the a1 on saturday. <~very impressed.

my only gripe however, is that this marker is exactly like my gsxr 1000, you just cant go slow.. I'm gonna have to find some deals on paint! ;)

ok I'm not sure what happend over the last month, but some how I ended up buying another angel.. heres how it went down.. while awaiting the arriveal of my first angel ( the a1) I came across a deal on a mint ir3 with very low miles, and 4 nitro tanks.. 3 days later I get my a1. now 2 weeks later I bought a brand new 05 speed...

is there something wrong with me?

ha ha...no ur just a gun whore like me...ive had every gen of angel from the a4 fly up... both a 4x4 shocker and an 03 shocker a mantis ego and even 2 impys...but i really think that the A1 is gonna be the last gun i buy for a while...im much happier with it than any thing else ive had in the last several years.
