If there is a thead that discusses this subject I apologize, I couldn't find it.
I have an A4 black dust and I need a barrel kit that offers a black matte or bead blasted finish. Also, I need one that offers lower sizes like 68.1 and up. I'm having a problem even finding online stores that offer any kits for the angel as it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Well there is no real section for barrel kits to speak of. But to answer your question, I am puzzled about the way you list a size of 68.1
For instance, a MT Orbium 3 barrel kit comes in many finishes. Polished and matt or dust as you refer to it. Sizes of bores are .684, .689, .693 and .695. Nice spread of sizes. If you wanted to add more to that for sizes for the same barrel kit you can get them from the manufacturer or an MT I suppose. I have been using this kit since they were offered by the MT's. I always get comments on the field about how quiet they are and how nice they look. Accurate as hell to! Tack on tack repeatability from shot to shot.
I know others have their favorites. But this one for me is a keeper and you couldn't pry it outta my mitts for any other barrel offered. I have used them all and most likely some you have never heard of.

Of this empire 7 piece kit I have only used the 68.1 or the 68.4. I have always used PMI Premium and I live in Phoenix AZ. The 68.1 is tight(I cannot blow the ball out) but I don't have barrel breaks. The 68.4 is good when it is more humid. The 68.7 is to big and the ball easily rolls out. I was also curious if it was possible to bead blast the barrels I already have. I will check out the barrel you recommended but I'm pretty sure I'm going to need the sizes indicated. Thanks for the reply.

OK I get it now! 68.1 is .681 in thousands of an inch. No I would not sandblast a barrel insert! They are honed and polished so that the ball will slip over the surface. This has 2 benefits, first is the least amount of friction for a ball to pass through. Second is clearing ball breaks. A polished surface will make paint bead up and blow out easily. A sandblasted surface would be the worst in both cases I mentioned.
The only other thing that would make a difference is to have them coated with Teflon. It would be expensive to do though. The buildup would also reduce the diameter by about 1 and a half thousands.

Look at the Orbium inserts that you can purchase aftermarket and see if the sizes are what you are looking for. The SM-3 kits from the MT's are a better deal. More barrel tips than what you can get direct for the same money.
Hope that helps

Actually, I was talking about bead blasting the outside of the barrel. I have a Lapco Bigshot that is bead blasted and would match my A4 that is for my sons A-5 that is a decent paint to barrel match but I cannot find a A-5 to angel adapter. I looked on the Lapco site, they have angel to A-5 but not the other way around. I noticed on the SM-1 site that I can buy the kit with .683 and up but if I want the anything lower I would have to purchase them seperately. Maybe I'll give them a call and see if we can strik a deal. Thanks for the info.
