I was thinking guys, lets all meet at the field Saturday Morning around 11am local time. We can all get a Meet & Greet to each other, then get some play/practice in. I'm thinking some simple 2 on 2, or 3 on 1 to start out with, then very basic drills. After that we can try some open play with anyone else there. Afterwards (when were done playing) we can all go out to dinner, and have a "Team" discussion on organization, and assigning duties to each other. This is why I requested everyone bring a Notebook and pen. We need to determine who's going to captain us, who's going to be in charge of getting us registered for PSP, collecting money, etc... Then (IF OK with DragonJedi) we all can hang out for awhile at his place and watch DVD's. I'm bringing some Great Paintball videos. Sunday, lets wrap it up by getting back at the field (Provided if everyone plans to) and do some more advanced drills, and finish with open play to finish off leftover paint if wanted. Then we say our farewells, and head back to our boring normal lifes. Cool?

I ask because we've got ourselves a bit of a problem, being that there is a young gun tourney being held Saturday at take aim, so I don't know how that is going to affect our plans on saturday. We're good for sunday as they are open from 12pm to 6pm. I think it's going to help out a little to have a bit of an agenda so that were not wasting the time it took for some to make the trip. All this we can discuss at the field.

called Take Aim this morning, here is the scoop. We are getting team discount at $10 per person, $50 a case of paint, or $25 per person w/ thier own WHITE Filled paint. The paint I have IS WHITE FILLED. The young guns tournament being held on Saturday will be Very short they said, only 8 teams have signed up for it. We can have practice on the other field (Not the Airball field) while the tournament is going on. I was thinking thats when we could do drills and such. When the tournament is over, we can move onto the Airball field for normal play including Open Play. Still plan on meeting up at the field Saturday morning around 11am.

I've got all of us at least one case of paint each as of now, were trying to get 2 more cases so I can bring up 8 total so each of us will get 2 cases.

It was great playing with ALL of you guys. Its even better now that I can put Faces to screen-names. I made it home safely, had some snow storms I drove through in Indiana, and a detour off the Interstate due to a big wreck north of Indanapolis. Made it home around 2 am Chi-time, 3am my time. I definiently now have some ideals of what we're going to need to do and practice for next month. Shame we didn't have a full squad this weekend, and we lost Rene on Sunday. (Hey if you gotta work, you've gotta Work) Just keep in touch guys, and plan on doing it again next month, but only more of it, and faster.

I should almost certainly be there this practice. As for rene it sounds like he is out for this but he mentioned something about still playing a little at take aim and fox so it looks like he will still show up for practice. As for our roster I have some good news. My brother who was a previus work-a-holic will be getting his marker in opporating order and he would like to come to our practices. He also has some air ball tourney experience and I know he would love to play psp but he is very busy and doesnt know if he will be able to attend our practices or the tourney as of now but hes gunna try to come.

ok, here is the situation. I'm going to be in a really tight money situation both with my house and with wifes lack of vehicular transportation. The latter is going to make it very difficult to get around, especially if she needs the car. I'm not sure when I'll get myself dug out but it shouldn't be too long. My primary concern was not being able to practice as often I want to, especially when you guys are here because thats when I'll be going through alot of paint. I'm not sure this means I'm dropping out, but I do know it means I won't be dropping in as often as I'd like to. My PM was a bit OVERDRAMATIC but that's about when I got the worst news and I wasn't in the best of moods, especially to write. With that said, I'm going to do everything I can to make sure I'm at our next practice.

Okay I've been reading the thread (This one) from the begininng again, what happen to: P8ntballerff, Crazy99, Slapshot, Mattz, Darklcdguy, Soulexistance, WDPPaintballer23? If Anyone of these guys are still interested in playing, let us know Please!


Next, as for Rene, I think you should continue to come and paticipate in the team, if money is tight (WHICH IT IS FOR ALL OF US), you can always coach/ support, or even put yourself in for a "Fill-in" second string player until your fincial situation is more stable.


Next, as for team practice, Once again plan to bring a notebook and pen (I didn't get to that part last time), most of the drills we're going to do is straight from "DYNASTY DYNMICS" video. Most importantly is discussing field layouts, and walking the fields. Plan to do some "Jousting" drills, and Breakout drills, along with closing the game drills. We'll also continue on what we priviously did with restricted 1 on 2's and maybe some 1 on 3's or 2 on 3's. The biggest point of those drills is to be able to (1) hold off the other team if your the last guy, and (2) start establishing team effort and build communications.

Hope to see everyone at "Take Aim" On Saturday Feb 10th at about 11am local time. Please be on time, cause we don't have much of it for these kinda practices. Plus as before, I can bring some Paint for sale for practice. Same stuff, same Price $26 a case. Just let me know ahead of time so I can make sure we have some in stock at the shop.

Oh btw, meant to tell you, I went out and bought me a new pair of shoes to play in on turf. I strongly recommend getting some! I actually bought a pair of Track Spikes, they were on sale since Track is off season right now. I know They don't provide much support in the foot, but they are light, and (W/O the metal Spikes that screw in the sole) they get unbelievable traction in artifacial turf and Asto/ carpet type turf. Hope that helps you out Ally.

Guys! For those of you who are going and haven't gone before, here are some things to bring:

Lots of nine volts
Turf cleats or some kind of cleats
TONS of paper towels! Throw a roll in your gear bag to clean off your shoes!!!
A garbage bag to throw your gear in so it doesn't get all over your car.
A full spare set of gear if you have it, otherwise you'll probably have to wash your gear after you get back to Rene's/your hotel.
An extra barrel condom and tank cover if you have them, because those will be dirty too.
Extra gloves if you have them (under the gear section, but still)
Extra lens' if you have them.

Anything I left out besides the usual gear?

I know ya'll want to PLAY more than take down notes, but if were going to become a team, we need to make sure we are all on the same page with drills and responsibilities. We've got get IN SYNCH within the next couple of months in order to productively use our remaining time to hone our individual skills and play execution. If you haven't already, Dynasty Dynamics DVD is top of the must see list. This is where we are going to get most of our drills from.

As for the sponsorship goes, WE will discuss this in length at our practice on Saturday. I'm more concerned right now as to getting our team fully organized first before dealing with "what do we get" syndrom. Next, I'm emailing Miranda to arrange a meeting with a rep for our March practice, to find out completely what our deal intails. If we/ those who, decide to take advantage of thier price offered on guns, we'll order them and anything else at the same time, to assure our price is given to us, and not someone else not on the team.

We can only register 8 players to our roster, and this needs to be done well in advance of the PSP. Once you're on that roster, your ass really, really needs to be at practice unless someone has died or your job is on the line. So please, let us know if you are or are not playing, and if you are, BE AT PRACTICE. We have 5, yes 5 more team practices before the PSP, and that's IF we get one in June, which we may not.

I'd also like to get this out in the open right here and now. I will not have money for a new gun or a new set of gear in the next 5 months. I do not think we should begin registering yet. We've got one practice under our belts, and only 4 people showed up. It would displease me (and I'm sure others) very much if people who have not actually played with us yet went and registered, then never showed up to practice. It's unfair, plain and simple.

This is only to register yourself with APPA so that you can be given points when you do play APPA sanctioned events. This is no way registering you for the team or PSP. That is a completely seperate process. No one that registers with APPA will be able to join our roster unless we do so. Normally this will be the captain of the team or whoever is going to be taking care of registering the team for PSP. YOUR APPA ID IS YOUR OWN INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY.

besides we can't register the team until closer to the Chicago leg of the PSP event. Speaking of which, guys be warned NOW, entry Fee for PSP Division IV has been raised. Its now $900 per team, breaking that down, it'll be $112.50 per person for ALL 8 people on the finial rooster. Plus Rene has informed me that one of the requirments for our newly acquired sponsorship is we have to at least attend 2 national tournaments. So let try for the World Cup in October too. Now I now that will put a strain on some peoples (Myself included) budgets, but if we do World Cup, then we'll have more time to practice and save up for it. Both events will cost us $225 per person, from the 8 people on the rooster. Now then, if we DO accept the sponsorship, we have a contract we HAVE TO sign. Other then that, I'll see everyone on Saturday, weather permitting.

actually that is one detail you missed on last practice. We don't Have to Play World Cup. What we planned on doing, and I'll email miranda about this right now, is playing at least one or maybe two local tournament in each of our respective state of residence. So we will do one in ohio, one in wisconsin, two here (psp and maybe Badlandz chitown series). Basically were a midwest team and we play midwest states.

I'd also like to add a few things:

Banners at Animal Customs are $50 each. I definitely think this is something we should get, and if everyone tossed in between 7 and 10 dollars, it would be an easy thing to get.

Jeremy and I had a nifty idea... Headbands that were Louis Vuitton print, but instead of LV, they would say AF (for Angel Force). These are $18 apiece, no minimum order. I will design them if anyone is interested.

I like the older wings too, but with those, we'd either have to make the wings super tiny or make our sponsors' logos super tiny. Text over all those feathers would be tough to read and not necessarily good exposure for our sponsors (what good is an ad if no one can read it?). I was aiming for something that would instantly say ZOMG WDP! even without anyone having to see the Angel/WDP logo that we will soon sport.

I believe they have to have a press pass to be on the field. Press passes are easy to get, provided you're affiliated with a paintball news source... so no, probably not.

Zach on the pack, thats cool. Everyone else, like I had said, we need to discuss who we want as "Key Players", and also is there any part of the contract anyone has questions over? I need to know too what local and National events were planning. We have discussed one local event in each of our team members represented state, and Chicago PSP, with the possiablity of World Cup too. Ally I know your thoughts on World Cup, and they are noted. But I think they would like us to try more national tournaments. Just remember World Cup is in October (The same week as my birthday to be a fact), and thats quite a long time from now.

Seriously, this will be a difficult decision with such a small roster. Keep in mind, Our key player will also be something of ambasadors, spokespersons for the team, not just important players. Being at every event will be very important, but as far as miami is concerned that will be a hard event to commit to, so if it ends up in our lineup of events to play we have to be absolute sure that our key player(s) can make that event.

Our third practice is sneaking up fastly and I need some info concerning cloth goods for our team.

1) Jerseys. I still need jersey money from some people. I don't necessarily know who these people are, however, because we haven't heard from a large number of them since I did proofs. Here's who I have money from:

Guys, listen. I'm going to need to drop out.

This is for a lot of reasons, they have nothing to do with you all at any level. For one, my checkbook won't take the strain that chicago practices take, especially not when I can play at stingers here for cheaper. Secondly, simply traveling to chicago once a month to practice isn't going to work for me. I'm getting a crazy work schedule tossed at me on top of school, taking a weekend to go play is just too much. Finally, this is just too much of a strain on me financially and physically to just play 2 events and then call it a day. I can't do that, especially because there is no real guarantee of us playing anything after chicago and WC.
I'm very sorry if I have caused any trouble, I just sat down with my dad and talk about this, and we both thought it would be better if I dropped out this year.
Maybe if we do it again next year.

Don't let them do any work yet.

Verify it's the fuel pump by turning the key to acc and listening to your gas tank for a whirring sound. If there is one, then you are ok. if not first check for broken wires. My dads van did the same thing, they were gonna charge him tons of cash and he found out it was just a broken wire from the all the cold and ice building up on it. I don't mind having practice postponed for a week, if you plan on cancelling for the that's up to you, however we still need to get the contract signed if were going to do it. Miranda didn't mind so far that we've postponed the signing till this month but I'm not sure how they will react to another postponement.

It is the fuel pump for sure, I've had two seperate mechanics look at it, and they both have said the same thing. They even hooked it up to a gas pressure gauge, and it doesn't have enough compression to start the motor. And as for the contract, I understand we NEED to get it signed this month. So If I have to, I WILL WALK to Chicago, to sign my damn name on that.

Okay here's the dope on my car situation. I just filed my taxes, (Shame to cause I was going to spend that money on my new A1) and I got to pay my dad my refund, since he is loaning me some money to get my car fixed ASAP. Hopefully it will be done in a few days, gotta tell the mechanic to go ahead and fix it tomorrow. As for Jenny letting me barrow her car, well she would if she could, but she needs it to get around and stuff too. So that was out of the question. As for postponing practice, I'm pretty sure we won't have to go that route. I think I'll be able to make it up there for sure this weekend. Rene, as for Miranda revising the contract, I think the only big change they may have done is requote us the price were getting stuff at, since they gave us the wrong price in the copy we have. Thanks a ton, I think that actually may be the problem. I haven't been able to get out the screen-side eye screw because the little f***er is stripped. The other eye seems to work fine, it lights up and all, but this one does not. Any ideas on that screw, anyone at all?

I used a flat head jewel screwdriver to get one of them buggers out once. Lucky for me it wasn't so stripped that it didn't work. That Or the ball end Hex wrench. For some reason they do help as you can get an angle on it that will take it out.

Well the funny thing is I have NEVER banked w/ US Bank, and I haven't had a checking account for nearly 7 years now. So I called the collection agenticy earlier this week and asked them how that was. Plus if I did owe money on overdraft charges from my former account, then howcome I have never heard anything from them in the past 7 years?

I told them we were going to play Div4, and they freaked asking me about all of our guys PSP/NPPL experience. ha, thats the series my team plays besides PSP. We're playing Novice.

Ill tell you right now that the CTS is the best league in the MidWest. Lots of competition, and its a BLAST.

Ive been playing in that league since it was created in 2004, and every year it improves. Chris the guy that runs it is a very cool guy, and easy to get along with. The reffing is sometimes iffy, but you get that anywhere.

Also, if interested there is a 2nd league here, its called the ICC, they are doing 2 events, April 22 being the first.....7man. Ill see if my team is playing that, if not, Ill play with u guys if u want to.

Well what about the CTS guys? Oh BTW John, I know all about the ICC, is it even going down this year? Last year they canciled it.
Next thing too guys, I was thinking over our scrimage games we played, to figure out what/where things went wrong when they did/if they did. Guys first off remember We play as a team, and we win as a team. When we lose, we lose as a team cause the team failed each other, not cause (ENTER ANY OF OUR NAMES HERE) let us down. Please also remember to that if any of you guys have any anything to say to help each other, speak up.
First I think that the postions we decided on, were the best for everyone to play. If any objections please speak up. However, I think some things we can work on is Breakouts, and game plans.

Rene: Work on breaking out and laning while running to back corner bunkers. If your going to the corner off break, you need to be postioned on the outer end of our team hudle. If your going to break shoot, and delay the run to the corner, then you need to postion yourself more inside of the team hudle. EX: 1 2 3 4 5 those are our players in the team hudle at the start of the game. If your going to your bunker off break, you should be player #1 or player #5 depending on the side your running to. If your delaying to shoot first, then you should be either players # 2 or #4.

Devin: Work on the same thing. Since you and Rene live fairly close, you guys should try to get together to practice this. Also work on playing back Center bunkers, and "Controlling the field" by telling all of the people in front of you whats going on.

Ally: Work on break out shooting, and delaying your run up the field. I noticed one thing we had a problem with, was you and Steven went to the same bunker off break. The other team laned that bunker (IN GAME 2), and we lost both of you guys, leaving them that whole side of the field to move up on. Instead, you and Steve should have discussed your game plan a bit better, and you should have gone to the other back corner on that tape side, to protect Steve when/ if he makes it in the snake. Then move up the field to fill the (IN this case Dorioto), or other bunker. Since you and Steve went to the same bunkers again, (During Game 3), the other team knew where you guys were going, and was waiting for you, so we need to mix up our game plan a bit to keep them guessing.

Zach: Like Ally, you need to discuss what your planning to do. Moving up to the Center 50 off break was an excellent move for you, but you should have been (IF you weren't that is) runnin&Gunnin the opposite tape from the Snake side. They sent a guy to the 50 that side off break, which you should have been able to blast out right away. Next, along with Rene, you should have known where you should have postioned yourself during the team hudle before the Breakout. In the case of those games, you should have been player #2 or #4 depending on the side of the field your playing on. If Rene wsa going to delay to lane for you, then you should have been player #1 or #5. Once you shoot out any player on that side, you should have started shooting that same sides back corner player, and cleared that whole tape to make a push down.

Steve: The only thing I saw with you, was the same thing I said to Ally, and Zach. Also your a tall guy, so you should practice running like a hunchback, and get low to the ground. Practice runnin&Gunnin too.

Now then, please guys tell me, anything you guys saw with me. Its always hard to correct yourself on anything. So please give me some critisim (SP).
Now then, guys some good news. I saw alot of things that were great. We all had a solid game plan for the most part, and communication between all of us was execellent. We all watched our zones, and where able to shift where we were shooting depending on how the game unfolded. Also closing the game was pretty good too.
Well guys lets all keep working on things, and hopefully we'll get better.

yea, they are having the ICC this year. The first date is confirmed as is the location. Proving Grounds in Sheridan, Indiana. Very very nice field.

The ICC will only have 2 events this year, and they will be 7man.

PSP has there 07 schedule up on their website. www.pspevents.com looks like the Chicago leg will be held on June 20th-24th at the same place its been for the last two years or so.
I recommend we hold practices every second weekend of the month. Meaning
Feb 9th-11th
March 9th-11th
April 13th-15th
May 11th-13th
and Finally June 8th-10th pending tournament
Also they (PSP) have the Mid-Alantic tounament in March I think or maybe it was May Place is still to be determed, but you guys interested in playing in that one too, or how about World Cup at the end of the season?

I was certainly planning to wait to order until we had word on the evil sponsorship (or ANY paint sponsorship... it would certainly help us out a TON). I'd certainly be fine with doing CTS, perhaps not ALL of them, but tis true that it would be more feasible than World Cup.

As far as feedback goes, I'd ask you to talk more, and talk louder. I know it's annoying, but both Rene and I have hearing problems, so it might be a little tougher to get the level of communication down, but I'm hoping we're ALL willing to work on it. Don't be afraid to repeat, re-repeat, and re-re-repeat.

If i may have a suggestion....
I think it would be very useful if we had some kind of calendering system. I don't know how many of you have ever used Ms Outlook with the Exchange server... but it has some things that would be very nice.
One: there would be one common place for all of us to go to to see when dates for things are.
Two: The system allows for event requests... so if there is a tourney some one wants to go to... you make an event and send a request to all team members, and the ones who replay with yes would plan on going.. and those with now would not.. then if there are enough yeses... the team goes. Not too bad.
I personally use Google. When you have a Google account you have access to more then just email, there is a calender program, a document (like word docs and spread sheets) and all kinda of really darn cool stuff.
So i recommend... (i know every one usually hates getting a NEW email address..) but if all of use were to get Google accounts... then I can set up the calendar stuff. We can also make use of many other things available there too... Just an idea to help coordinate sine we are smeared across 3-5 states..

honestly, Id recommend going to the Badlandz CTS before the PSP. Its a great way to get practice in and very well organzied manor. Plus Ill be there, but Ill be at all the CTS events, and Chicago PSP and World Cup haha

Two: The system allows for event requests... so if there is a tourney some one wants to go to... you make an event and send a request to all team members, and the ones who replay with yes would plan on going.. and those with now would not.. then if there are enough yeses... the team goes. Not too bad.
I personally use Google. When you have a Google account you have access to more then just email, there is a calender program, a document (like word docs and spread sheets) and all kinda of really darn cool stuff.
So i recommend... (i know every one usually hates getting a NEW email address..) but if all of use were to get Go
