When taking off my back plate to clean some of the guts (i got a shot through the vent, yucky) i took out the breeck nob and rod, and the spring. I cleaned up, and trying to figure out how to put the spring in, i put the pin in. I removed the knob because that is the easiest way to put the spring in (drop in pin, put spring in, screw back plate back on, and screw on breech knob). However, when i tried to pull back the pin, i wasn't able to. Right now, it is stuck in the slot where it goes in. I've looked down and it doesn't look like there is anything obstructing it. The breech is locked down and I cannot open it.

Is there anyway to fix this short of sending it to a tech? It's really pissing me off as it is my first time using it.

BTW, it's an IR3 Fly.

And also, which way are the vent plates supposed to go in on the side? The foam isn't sticky enough and it came off and now i can't figure out how to put them in. I'm switching to the solid ones so i don't get any more paint in the 14 way.

there should be a cut out corner on the solid plates, that goes under the solenoid

as for the breech rod.....take your backplate off again, and see if you tweaked the spring, you might have got the spring bent and it's not working right....give it a shot..

Mabey the spring is actually around the rod, causing the rod to be stiff.

I hvae the spring out. The rod is in there by itself.

Also, buy cut out corner u mean the corner with a 45* angle cut out or a square cut out?

the tabs go down, and there is a cut out corner.....looks like they made a 90 degree angle cut....that goes underneath the solenoid

Does it matter if i have the foam? The sticky fell off and now they dont stick.

:dunno: probably won't sit tight against the body without something acting as a spacer giving it pressure.... :dunno:

K, I got the covers, now i need to fix the breech pin. The Spring is out, all i did was put the pin without the breech knob into the place it is supposed to go, and now it is stuck. I need to get it out, and I can't find any way to get to it. The only part sticking out is the threaded part. Plz help!

NM, fixed with a good firm tug with a wrench. Wrapped with a cloth of course.

Thanks for the help on the vents, now it is protected.
