i have noticed that my a4 has some black oil and i am thinking of taking out the ram and stuff to clean it and reoiling it, so my question is, how do u take out the ram, i read the manual and it says to use the ram location tool, i dont know what that is and i dont have circlip pliers to take it out. i have never removed the ram before so i dont know what to expect. also do i have to remove the exhaust valve stem to oil the gun? any info on how to take the ram out and oiling the gun will help. thanks.

ok thanks man, now do i need to take out the exhaust valve stem too? and what kind of angel oil should i use?, there are so many like the angel force gun grease, angel force oil, and the love juice oil...does it even matter which one i use??

I dont think it matters but I use love juice, I'm not about the exhaust stem, I havent taken apart my gun yet it only has about 11,000 shots, someone help this guy out!

ok so i went ahead and bought the ram multi tool kit combo and some love juice, so when i get it i should take out the ram clean out all that black crap, put the ram back in, and put some love juice in through the breech and ASA, then take a couple of shots??? or is that the wrong way to do it??
i heard you gotta make sure your breech and bolt are dry, they arent supposed to be oiled. To oil just drop some into the macroline, plug it back in and go on shooting and your set, can someone back me up on this?

Yes its true, do not oil the breech and especially the bolt the delrin will absorb the oil and swell

You can take you exhaust valve out to check for wear and if it needs new o-rings. I know how to take an 05 speed valve out but not sure how for a a4.

oops ive been putting drops in the breech b/c i heard from klassy guy that your suppost to do that...
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 04:47 PM
no no oil in breech. your bolt will swell(delrin swells with oil)
Franks
08-18-2006, 04:51 PM
whoa wait i just read the manual and it says to lub the ram with love juice extreme grease before re-inserting it...but thats not putting oil in the breech, can i also use love juice oil instead??
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 04:56 PM
yea ur supposed to grease the ram.....the bolt and ram are two differnt things lol
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:00 PM
ok...i see, is it ok to use love juice oil instead of the grease?
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:01 PM
wait you mean to use oil on the ram? well for the ram you just grease the o-rings so use grease.
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:02 PM
crap i dont got grease, ill just use the extra grease i saw in the back plate when i opened it once
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:03 PM
you dont have to grease the o-rings if they have grease on them:stooges:
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:04 PM
wow ur really making me feel dumb, thanks lol
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:06 PM
No problem, but what you can do (when you get ur grease) is to wipe all the old grease off, inspect teh o-rings to nicks or damage, replace(if necisaery) then re-lube.
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:06 PM
well actually i was thinking of clean out all that crap and re-oiling / re-greasing it but yeah i dont got grease
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:06 PM
yea either pick some up or order some from BoB or Ken. then check o-rings and re-lube.
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:07 PM
so u think i should clean everythnig and leave the grease on the o-rings?
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:08 PM
wait untill you get some grease, then wipe off old grease, inspect o-rings, replace if u need too, then re-grease.
shoudlnt putting love juice into the macroline do the same thing, because itll eventually make its way into there right?
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:26 PM
it will go into the lpr...if put in the macro line.
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:28 PM
question, what does TR mean?
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:30 PM
when you TR is high you will have more bounce. with the lowest TR setting you will have lowest bounce. "Trigger Offset"

ok one more question what is the stock LPR pressure, like whast the amount of pressure do normal stock angel4 come in? b/c i wanna set my LPR pressure without buying the kit. lol
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:45 PM
well around 65psi.....and what kit do you mean?
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:47 PM
http://secure.fixmyangel.com/catalog-product50
that one to measure the pressure
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:48 PM
how do plan on setting the pressure without knowing what it is? thats why you should buy the kit lol
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:49 PM
i know! im too cheap to buy it, thats y i asked wahst the stock pressure.
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:50 PM
yea but how you gunna know when ur at the stock pressure:notsure: (hint..you need a gauge)
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:51 PM
what i can do is ask someone with the right amount of LPR pressure and ask them the number of shims they got in their angel and i will leave the same amount of shims in my angel... :P
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:52 PM
all guns are differnt. Somebody with 5 shims to get at 65psi, might take another persons gun to have 8 shims. I would buy the kit. I did. Plus youll need it to get the shims out, ram out.
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:55 PM
yeah but the thing is i already bought this kit... http://secure.fixmyangel.com/catalog-product250
and i dont wanna send another 40 or so on that other kit
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:56 PM
yea thats the one i have. Theres a gauge in there:stooges: so you can measure your lpr pressure, and take out your lpr, and ram.
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:57 PM
no way really??!! that black multi kit i just showed u??
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 05:58 PM
yes. you unscrew the sections and theres a small gauge you screw on to the lpr cap. if you really need a pic ill take one.
Franks
08-18-2006, 05:59 PM
wow thats great...sure u can show me a picture if u want
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 06:01 PM
gimmie acouple mins and ill grab my brothers camera.
Franks
08-18-2006, 06:01 PM
by the way what do u have ur LPR pressure at?? or what i mean is what should it be at, b/c i hear differnt numbers from everyone...Ken says around 60 but the manual says it should be at 82psi
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 06:02 PM
well i have an 05 speed wiht evolve so im running at 45. But Im not sure for a4
Franks
08-18-2006, 06:17 PM
o ok
RangerJoe
08-18-2006, 06:21 PM
here Note(gauge is in "Bar" so 1 Bar= 14.5038psi so you have to do some calculations to figure out where your lpr is at)
Franks
08-18-2006, 06:24 PM
wow u just confused the crap out of me lol
Franks
08-18-2006, 06:27 PM
oooooo nevermind i get it okokokokok i get it
Franks
08-21-2006, 06:48 PM
i got the tool kit and my LPR is at around 58.0152psi or "4 bar" should i lower it or not?
Franks
09-15-2006, 07:17 PM
y doesnt anyone answer my question??? ^^ :(
Trigga Nometry
09-15-2006, 07:51 PM
If you are not getting any shoot down during high ROF's then you could lower it. Some lower the LPR until they see drop off and then from there slightly increase it and leave it. But right now, you are close to the recommended LPR pressure.
