There is no snap ring on the Speed 05s. That is on older Angel models.

isn't there?
Isn't that a snap ring on the bottom of the mini-reg? But otherwise, don't know anything about 'snapring tension'.

The adjusting of the snap ring is something like this: http://www.angel-owners.com/showthread.php?t=52757&highlight=snap+ring+ram where it had to be right for older Angel models.

The replacement for the old style snap ring is that oring that sits on the ram shaft right behind the hammer.
I recently encountered a problem where that oring had swelled or worn too soft. This happened on a G7 Fly, where it seems to be easier to have the problem, due to the way the ram is held forward by the twist knob. Basically the bolt wouldn't always retract past that oring. It would pull back until it hit it, then slide past it a second later.
Other than a problem like that, you shouldn't have to mess with your snap ring at all.
