05 speed reg

Will the 05 reg really fit/and be useful(work) on an force 4 fly i have seen a pic of one (below) , but will it actually work. I already have the 05 Speed frame on my force4 fly.

As far as fitting on the Speed 05, I have no idea. You really need to see if any milling would need to be done. Do the screws and holes line up? It looks like (in your pic) that it is already installed on the Force frame?

As long as the air passages are all in alignment (the Speed 05 minireg housing air ports are in line with the Force's air passages), then I would see no reason that it would not work.

I believe that the air passages for the Force are smaller than the Speed 05's (I could be wrong) but that would not hider the Speed 05's minireg performance.

The Picture is not my F4 Fly I fount it on here or on nation I think. So I do not know if it truely works or not.

So the only differance between the regs/adapter is that the air passages are bigger in the 05. So will that force to much air to the F4

I always see that the CP reg adapters always say 05 Speed only. So if the 05 Speed Reg will work on the F4 than the Cp reg adapter should work as well right. I would just get one but why buy it if its not gonna work.

Has anyone elese tried putting an 05 stock Speed reg on any other angel below a 05 Speed.

You cannot force too much air into the Force, so that would not be an issue. You'll be adjusting the minireg pressure anyway to get the velocity you want.

I would not be concerned with the air passages being too big but how much milling would be required to the get 05 and 04 pieces to fit together because the screw holes will most likely not match between the two models.

I just need to make sure the mounting holes match up I guess ,Because I have the 05Speed frame on my Force 4 already.

Funny this came up now! I got an A4 fly apart ready to send out for anodize. I also have a colbra 15 deg shoe and I just checked the fit. Believe it or not I just lined everything up without having to mod anything. Looks pretty nice to! Hmmmm, ideas a brewing here. Might put a G7 45 stock on this puppy now. Will most likely have to mill that a little to get it to fit right but it will look sweet when it is done!

Hey Mavrick the cobra 15 degree from cobra will fit all frames up to 05.And for the Frame you will have to redo the back hole and i think a slot for the valve pin ,because it sits a little off. I also had the 15 degree on My force4 as well, but i think the 05 reg/cp adapter makes the body flow better.

I have tried using the CP reg adapter for the 05 SPEED and it works for my Force 4 fly. I only had to mill the mounting hole just a little bit. And if you have the STD LPR it will fit directly,because you remove the pin that holds in the stock LPR. I also just used my stock mini-reg with it as well.
