I have a new Halo B and i think i have a problem, i'm new to Halos that's why i say think.
When i power the Halo up with no paint in it the drive cone spins for a 2-3 seconds and then slows down for a split second, then speeds up for 2-3 seconds and then slows down for a split second. It continues to do this till i switch it off.
Is this normal or do you think it is a fault ?

Thanks, Jim

Yes it is normal. The Halo has eyes in it that are looking to see paint. If none is present it will keep spinning trying to load some.
A good test to see if your Halo is working properly is to turn it in. Then stick your finger up the feed neck. It should stop spinning when you break the eye beam. Now remove your finger and it should start turning again like it would to feed paint. If you keep sticking your finger up the feed neck it should turn on and then off every time you do it. If that works then your loader is working properly.

When i put my finger up the feed tube the motor runs on sometimes, and as it spins at full speed and slows down a little with no paint passing the eye i guess it just isn't right.

maybe you have fat fingers and cant put your fingers all the way in to located the eyes..... Better yet try it with something else such as a paper towel or a swab or a none fat finger lol...

The best test is to actually get paint and half fill your hopper then turn it on and let it run then quickly put your hand in the way stopping the balls.... If the hopper stops spinning shes a working..If not then you have a fault paint blender that should be shipped back to your nearest Odyssey headquarter ammidiatly (spelling)

hope this helps
