Dark LCD worth it?

I was just at my local shop and found a very used dark LCD for very $200 (not sure what year). It had some normal wear and tear on the outside and in the breach it had some scratches and the top of the bolt was blackened. Is this normal? Also the screws to one side of the grips were missing along with the buttons for the board on the outside of the grip frame. He said it should be fine just needed a new board. If I do get it I'll send it into TAG to get serviced and some eyes/board. But first a few questions.
1. Does the predator board get rid of the lcd and rechargeable battery?
2. How well does it do with fragile paint?
3. What grips will it take after the pred. install and where can I get them?
4. Does this sound like raw deal or something I should take?
Thanx for any help.
5. Do you have to upgrade the ball detent or add another one to handle a Halo?
I have a DM4 right now and just want a classic *****ing gun.

i traded a bushy for a dark angel last year it was a basket case from what i heard the marker was pass around like a used w**** swapped in a 02 speed board and fixed some broken wires and a cobra detent now i think its faster than my adrenaline lcd so yeah get it .
mine shoots fine with the halo on it

hit the wrong key its a 03 i milled the inside grip frame out to get it to fit
