i just bougth an IR3 off ebay. it wont turn on. ive taken it down and one of the battery leads to the toggle switch was cut, so i soldered it back together, and it still didnt work. i plugged in the gun to the charger and all that crap. the and the switch was in the power on position, but the screen still said "PWRON." i plugged everything in in the proper order and everything is in the right place. is it the battery, the lead, the switch, or am i just a stupid newb to angels and am missing something?

When you plug the charger into the gun, you need to turn the gun in the "On" position, because it says "PWRON".
Angels only charge when turned on. (No, I don't mean you need to appeal to its s****l needs XD.)

The small switch is pointing towards the side of the gun with the LCD on it?
Well, I don't know then, falty charger? Maybe you didn't solder it right, orrrr.
I think one of the MT's and/or a guru here needs to get on this, lol. ^.^'

ok thanks anyway, and yes the switch is on the LCD side, im not a total moron and know how to read a manual.
The board could be bad or the battery could be bad or even the charger could also be bad.My suggestion is if you want advice on this fourm is not to flame people that try to help you .The reason they said what they did because this is a common problem that most people have and most people dont read the manual and just come here for simple stuff.Hope this helps.

Seal it sounds like either the toggle switch wires arent soldered onto the right leads. If the board says PWRON and the switch is in the on position then the marker aint reading it as such, so its either the wires or the battery like you said. From what I can tell from what you have said the board sounds fine as well as the charger, sounds like something with the battery or wires on the battery to me.

thats what i was thinking, but from the pic in the manual, i have the wire soldered on the right side, but ill try the other side tomorrow, who knows right?

Board sounds fine like "Ronny" said it's definently the wiring. What did you use for an insulator for the wire? Electrical tape...? If so try some shrink tubing. Slip it on the wire before you solder and cut a small peice for the switch contact. If that dousn't work.... New Battery time.

i hadnt used anything to insulate the wire (oops, forgot). im pretty sure its new battery time though, unfortunately, do you guys know a place to get a battery for less than on the sponsor's sites?
