I recently purchased an Angel LCD, I'm told 2004. Anytime I try turning the Angel on, I get a screen with the battery status and the mode and then the only other thing displayed is 000 000. I cannot turn the marker to "-SAFE-" mode or "-LIVE-" as per the instructions on the WDP site (in the manual). I would appreciate any help. Thanks

Is the battery charged?

Make sure the trigger is not compressing the microswitch, and see if that helps... They did not make any LCD's in 04, only speeds and A4's (which had an LCD screen) I believe.

The battery is charged

I didn't think they made LCDs in 04, but thats what I was told. Anyways, it is an LCD Angel (they have a specific look) - don't know what year then. The trigger isn't pressing the microswith. The only thing I can do is change the "000 000" to different numbers (I can change the digits individually). Still stumped, would appreciate any help. Thanks

Are you ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that its not? my angel did that and it was because the opto switch got stuck depressed, I would give it a look... its worth a shot, just open the gripframe and see. Thats generally the cause of a board showing all 0's normally it would be your serial number but it sounds like thats a replacement board in there. Changing the digits individually is just a pin number, Im fairly certain if it is locked, it will ask you for the pin.

If it is flashing all zero's and then safe, its the microswitch being depressed.

My appologies. I have found and fixed the problem. When you asked whether or not the microswitch was depressed, I said no and that wasn't the entire truth. The microswitch was only depressed when I holding the marker a certain way and I found out the culprit was a loose screw on the board. After I tightened the screw I haven't had any problems any more. Thanks Identity Crisis you did help!
