I was wondering how to tell if my LPR is/ has gone bad because i heard 05 speeds have this problem. Also, my gun came from the factory with a LPR pressure of 60 psi (i checked it with the tool kit) and the manual says it needs to be at 65 psi, is that a problem? And finaly the threaded part LPR piston removal tool is too big to fit in my LPR piston, so how do i get it to thread in? :puzzled:
Thanks.

If you gun is shooting fine at 60 psi thats fine. If your lpr leaks..etc its probly bad. And are you using the lpr removal tool from teh tool kit?

The lpr tool you have is for the G7 and newer angels, the hole was made bigger for air flow purposes. You should be able to use a 3mm screw to get the piston out. 60psi isn't too bad, I like to run mine at 55, so pulling out one shim should put you in that area.
You could probably trade your lpr tool with someone else on the Angel Parts and Accessories forum of the angel-owners bst.

Thanks for all your help. I'll send WDP an email and see if they'll send me a replacement. When i bought the kit it said it was for older Angels like mine.

Also, if I lowered my LPR to 45psi and dwell to 7 would my gun still work fine or would it have drop off/ weak shots? And what kind of grease should i use and what should I grease?

You'd have to raise your input, which will make the gun kick. But you can try.

go to your local paintball store and buy a good grease. anything that does not have petroleum in it should be ok.

ask your paintball store and specifically confirm that it doesn't have petroleum in it. If it does not have petroleum, I'd say you're ok.
Grease: I grease o-rings because if they dry out, they will crack and then leak. Moving parts: yes.
I probably tend to overgrease with the idea being that the consequences of too little grease are far worse than too much grease. (but I'm not an MT)
Don't grease or oil the bolt though.
