wdp.tv has a new software update to 1.8. Haven't tried it yet, but according to the website it looks like they added a 1 hr. shutoff. Anyone know of anything else they added? Doesn't seem worth the trouble if it only does the 1 hr. shutoff.

Ken confirmed that the update is for the 1 hour shutdown. That's it.

I see. Well, I'll just stick with 1.7 then, not worth the effort just to get the shutdown feature.

I downloaded 1.8 last night and played today works fine.

Anyways, sure would be nice if WDP would include a text file with the package that lists the updates in each version. Same way all the software companies do; check out the driver updates the graphics card companies do for reference.

do you have any idea why WDP does not let the board to ramp without paint
i wish wdp made an update for that in v1.8
i don't want to spend loaders of paint, just to check different ramp settings

BECUSE IT NEEDS TO READ APROX 60MS BETWEEN THE BOLT MOVING FORWARD AND THE BALL TO DROP. THEN IT CAN PROPERLY CALCULATE THE ACTUAL DROP RATE. MAKE SURE YOUR KICK IN IS SET HIGHER THAN THE DROP OUT OR IT WONT RAMP PROPERLY.

JUST AN FYI: 1.8 HAS ADDED A 1 HOUR SHUT OFF MODE. THIS WILL SHUT THE GUN DOWN IF ITS LEFT ON. THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT CHANGES

i couldn' t exactly get your answer
for example on my karnivor with the zero b board, i can just turn the marker on, and turn the eye off, and start pulling the trigger and i can hear the trigger clicking and see if it's ramping or not and adjust and check different ramping modes. I don't need air or paint to do these adjustments.
on my angel 1, i have to have air and paint, in order to just set different ramping modes. for example right now I'm at home with no air and no paint and i upgraded the new software and can not understand if the millennium ramping is working:)
is there any other way of checking it?

Anyone have a clue what kind of a chip is used in the G7 or A1 boards?

I'm trying to figure out why the programmers would have to cap the gun at 16.6 BPS to calc a ball drop rate. Thought the G7's had some weird eye logic but that seems even more bizarre.

Sounds like your downloading the utility from the web site. Save it My Documents is probably easiest to find ( and where MicroSoft intended stuff to go as well).

its saved in my documents i put the angel series 1 flash utility on my deskyop like it said then i click on it then i click on the icon then a popup of what i said comes up! and i dont no what to do from there!
