2 Shim Trick ?

i was jw if u still need to do the 2 shim trick with the newer A1's. Ive pre-ordered the polished fade, and was wondering if when i get it, i will need to do the 2 shim trick, or is this a prob that can be fixed by WDP by the time my gun is released ?

i think he is talking about reducing the shims in the lpr from 6 to 2 shims...

"Remove 2 shims from the lpr until the velocity drops. When you have reached this point put 1 shim back in and this should be the “sweet spot”. I know it doesn’t sound scientific but use the k.i.s.s theory it works."

that is what i am talking about . . . And i was jw if it was a fixable problem, and if so if it would be fixed by the time the polished fades came out. Or if it is a problem that cannot be fixed meaning that i would have to do the "trick" to get a better efficiency . . .

That's just fine-tuning your Angel to run at a good pressure. It's not really a "problem".

considering not all A1's have the same number of shims in them - i'm sure the factory has a way of figuring out just how many need to be in there to be at an optimum efficiency for each marker before it goes out.
that being the case, if people have to tweak it to get optimal efficiency, i would consider that to be a small problem of the manufacturer.
then again, maybe there is a method to their madness - who knows. maybe it accounts for marker break-in... could be many things.
