no way crown, have you ever used a gun with a dropkick? it makes yousetup so tight its insane. and yeah, ill try to get some pictures soon of the machining, all done with a drill press and hand taps, and of course a micrometer :D

I personally hate DM trigger frames, the trigger frame curves in way too close to your lower finger and I flick the trigger frame when I try to walk it. I need more ROOM. BUT +props to you for doing something custom. If you like it, then it is a great mod. :drink:

yeah, i know what you mean happens on some frames idk it doesnt happen to me on this one, and the roller bearing in the CP trigger on it and the microswitch give the trigger that magnetic feeling snap, and it just rips. im looking into get the 3mm DM eyes and machining the body for those myself also. i like challenging myself, lol.

yeah, link me to them ill take a look. but i cant use angel eyes, that would be easy, the connector is different, its 3 pronged for the DM board rather than the 2 pron on the Angel boards. so i have to use the 3mm Dye eyes. we have some ideas floating around now on how to route the wires and how to cast some eye covers, but we're still trying to find the best approach that will function the best, but still look clean and have almost a factory look.

Good lord man what did you mill the frame out of a chunk of aluminum yourself? Seriously what all did you machine to consider it $300 worth of work?
It did come out nice. I liked the frame a bit farther foward when I did the mod but thats that great thing about the DM mod, you can position it exactly where you want it

a normal machine shop would charge around 200-300 dollars for the machining, measuring and tapping that was done. if you dont believe my show your work to your local machine shop and ask them how much they would have charged you.

Im just curious of what machining did you do? The frame mod I did consisted of 3 new holes in the frame (2 for the frame screws 1 for the valve pin) and filing down the front of the frame to fit over the flash tank manifold....If a machine shop charged 200-300 for that I would call it highway robbery (one of my friends is a machinest and runs K&P Customs so yes I do know what maching cost)
Im just not under standing what type of machining you had to do to do your frame mod. Not trying to be a dick just trying to get some info

i didnt drill the frame, i used the Stock DM5 holes. i used a micrometer and measured the stock angel taps for the stock angel board and got the depth. i then lined the frame up and milled a hole for the valve pin. once that was milled i placed the frame on and made sure it was centerd. i then marked off the 2 stock DM5 trigger frame holes and milled two holes into the angel at those points at the exact depth of the stock holes. i then used a 10/32 bottom hand tap and threaded the holes and you get what you see above. thats about $200 in labor alone from a machine shop.

So you are still using an angel board?

no im using a stock DM5 board with the stock chip, i may get a WAS chip for the 20 bucks it costs, but im not sure. the DM board is set at a stock dwell of 18 so i had to adjust that down to a 14, but once i did the gun was shooting 250 fps with no +\- in 100+ degree weather. and i may soon be milling for 3mm DM eyes once i get the specifications of them.

I love how people call drilling and tapping "milling".
If you are using a drill, it's just drilling.
If you are actually using a mill, it's milling.
If you are using your daggon leatherman to file an edge, that is not milling.

children please quit bickering....
the fact of the matter is that the gun looks like its being customized and used by a chimp with downs. what is this machining that you refer to? just what kind of "machine" did you use? whatever it was, im guessing this "machine" costs less than $200... where did you get this $300 figure?
a mill mills
and a drill drills
a file files
and you are retarded....

Why do you keep posting these threads?
It seems like everywhere I go, your §§§§ing thread is in it.
No one cares about you dm'ing your gun. It has been done and is a very easy mod, you could do EVERYTHING with a dremel, so its really not hard, quit acting like it took you forever to come up with a design. Yea, it might look professional, but I can make it look professional with a dremel..I could probly make it look professional with a nail and a rock.
And doing it on a lcd is even easier, because you dont have to drill new holes in the frame. So PLEASE get off your high horse and quit acting like your the king of this mod.
And I hope NOONE has done buisness with you for the simple fact that you think this mod will be around 300 dollars(and thats just for the "milling" part, appearantly). If you want to settle it farther, go ahead and pm me.
Mods-go ahead and delete this post if you fell the need to.

dude this would cost nothing, my high school has a machine shop, and if you've taken the class (a 10th grade class) you can use it whenever you want for free.
Even if you had to go to a shop, it wouldn't cost much, like $60 for the 2 hours of labour or something.
