View Full Version : "Why does your Halo plug into your gun?"

...that is the question I was asked when I got my gun out at a field Saturday. :) Everyone wanted to know what the intellifeed cable was. It made a pretty big reaction. I was surprised actually.
Regardless, the intellifed halo was ripping. It was my first day playing with it. I hit 21 bps on semi  with TR set on 1 (maximum debounce on a Fly). I am a happy man.
Now if TAG would just hurry up with the Cheetah V3!

Oh what a feeling (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x20v9F-sWHQ&search=David+Hasslehof - if you go to that link have your barf bag ready) Intellifeeding gives you. It's true, I remember my old LED with an intellifeed revvy.... It was so cool because people were puzzled at first. You remember my days too I bet!

I haven't gone playing since I got my intelli... and I expect the reaction to be pure confusion. One time, this one kid came up to me and asked what kind of cocker I had. I guess a volumizer now counts as pneumatics....
So, based on that and other weird questions I've been asked, the first day with intelli will be interesting.

I had this happen three times this past weekend.
"Hey, what is going on here (pointing to the Intellifeed wire)?"
I explain it and they still look confused lol.

I just bought the kit and installed it myself.
Drill a hole for the cord and conenct a couple wires in the Halo.
Drill and tap a hole on the gun for the conenctor. I just used the hole under the "A" sticker on solenoid cover and tapped it.
Stash the angelforce board between the gripframe and body and plug the connectors in.

There isn't much room for error with the G7 Fly. That hole has to be drilled in just the right spot due to the Fly's solenoid. Just keep that in mind if you plan on doing it yourself to a G7 Fly.

The kits can be bought from Ken Crane or BoB (here on AOG). They both do the installs too. For a G7, you'll need a hole drilled into the G7's solenoid cover. They can do that too.

I had brought my intellifeeded G7 Fly into Badlands (Where my intellifeed was installed) and I had a crowd of people asking what the wire was from my halo to my gun. After the explanation, one guy piped up and said "Oh, so the gun shoots by itself eh?"

I have Boostmonkey's old intellifeed kit now. It's sweet! He's now intellifeedless, but he has a cheetah board in his Halo now and he's shooting a 6peed.
