With all the issues that have been posted I thought I would post a positive thread.

Thanks to Bob and Ken, I had a great day of practice with my Angel One today. :) :)

The marker exceeded my expectations and I found myself focusing on my game while rocking the A1. Halfway through the day, I noticed "Oh crap..I forgot to bring my barrel swab." Haha! The A1 ripped and I had many people asking to shoot it/hold it/touch it.

Once again, thank you Bob and Ken for all that you do. I think it's safe to say if it weren't for you guys these A1's would have been returned real fast.

so it shoots fast now?

Oh hell yes.

I was easily mowing fools off the break. Since the marker is so light, it's easy to turn and burn off the break. Running and gunning is also much easier. I had refs check me for ramping a few times also, but it passed every time.

:) :)

Why in God's name would people say (you're not the only one) this marker rips when you're not even using ramping? Don't tell me you are shooting over 15 BPS in semi auto - and if you happen to play open games (like myself) where everything except for full auto is allowed - 15 BPS is slooooooooooow.
WDP advertises this thing to shoot over 30 BPS, but the board is so bad I can't find a way to get it anywhere near that fast.
Sorry to post more negativity about the A1, but it deserves it so far - it's advertising bull$%#^.
Don't get me wrong - if they update the software fast, I will love it and tell everyone I know to buy it.

I am curious to know exactly what all of your settings are, everything from software to pressures. Also, what loader. Are you shooting paint when testing the ramp? I set up 5 Angel One's this weekend and they worked in ramping.

Very little as of today. Most updates have been made. If you order from anyone of the AF stores the markers are being tweaked prior to shipping.

i dont understand why people feel the need to ramp all the time. get some skill and shoot semi

^^ i agree, i am not a fan of ramping at all

I agree with those other two.

The only people that complain about a gun that is shooting fine over 15 bps are the people that suck at paintball. It's all about the player. Don't get me wrong I love Angels, but you don't need to shoot that fast. Work on your skills, and stop complaining about a gun that has a few minor (yet fixable) problems and still shoots very fast.

EXACTLY.

After getting my trigger tweaked to where I like it. After installing the 1.7 update, the advertised settings from Joy Division, and the replacement eye cover strap...my A1 absolutly rips.

I am using a Crossfire tank with Vlocity loader on speed setting #7.

I am using Semi-Auto mode, thats all that is needed. :) No breakout or ramping at all. Quite frankly, I can't even get the ramping or breakout modes to even work..... haha!

i dont understand why people feel the need to ramp all the time. get some skill and shoot semiThe point is that people are worried that their new gun's features might all not be working as they should.

Regardless on how you feel about ramping, you'd still want everything to work properly.

Amen. Don't bash the guy for wanting his gun to work as advertised. A couple of those post sounded like they were from PBnation. Come on, we are better than that here at AOG.

Bob - my marker is currently at the local warranty shop getting checked out, but I'll get the settings to you as soon as I get it back. The settings I can find out, but the pressures I don't know - LPR gauges aren't available for the A1 at the local dealer yet (do you know where I can find one?).
Off the top of my head, I believe my ramping is set to 3, 4, 4 for start delay, kick in, and drop out. The loader I'm using is the Vlocity set to 4-6 (out of 8). The loader speed on the A1 is set to 12. My dwell I've played with between 7-11. Shot filtering 5%. The ABS is the default 3 (I think).
I played 6 games last weekend using paint and couldn't get it to ramp the entire time. Maybe I'll try breakout to see if that works on mine at all - except I have no idea how it works - all I know is how to set the time.
Trigga Nometry - you hit the nail on the head as to why I'm upset my marker isn't working as it should.
Thanks to you and Bob for giving intelligent responses.

Since it as at a warranty center they should be able to verify any ramping issues and your pressure settings. Frazer looked at this and he recommended changing the kick in to 4 and drop out to 3 instead of having them the same. We are also running the ABS 1.25-1.5, dwell 6.5.

id wanna try that breakout mode, why not? if my marker can shoot fast off the break without really trying for it, i can spend more time concentrating on where they are heading, and how i can get em out. and from what i understand in the manual, it only lasts as long as you want it to... say first 20seconds of game.. sounds like a sweet setting to me.

what settings do u have ur gun on?

TomPB

I called the shop today and they said they got it fixed! They didn't say what settings they had to change if any. I'll pick it up later this week and let you guys know what the story is.
Does anyone know exactly how breakout works? I've never used it before. Does it only last for what ever time setting you choose starting after the first trigger pull and then it stops for the rest of the game until you reactivate it from the parameters menu?
Soft breakout is three round burst and hard is full auto, right?
