im just wondering how you guys think the angel 1 measures up to the 06 ego or hybrid shocker. all three of these guns have similar price tags. im looking to purchase a new gun and these are the three im looking at (angel one, ego6, hybrid traitor shocker - all around 1200-1300$). give me your opinion.

IMO i would wait until the bugs get worked out of the A1 and then i would buy that, because when they fix that thing its going to rip like no other.

I think it's safe to say the A1 is working well now. The pro's are using them and love them already. Heck, bet you will see many of them at the next NPPL event in Boston. Joy has already said these things rip and it's another reason that their winning rampage continued in the last event they played.

Look at it this way. I know of two reported issues, one was the eye covers on some of the first ones shipped were faulty and the MT's got that taken care of quickly once they had the new replacements. Second was some software tweaks. Now you can upgrade the gun yourself. Before you had to send it in to get that done. So unless your waiting for a special color (I am!) or for the masses of 1000's to say it is the best marker on the planet why wait?

no im not waiting for a special color. i will probably either get polished black or dust black. im just trying to research a little more on how the A1 compares to the ego and shocker besides size and weight

i luv me angel

well if u think about it ur coming out ahead like 100 bucks or so because u need a new hopper anyway and ur getting a pretty sweet gun. From the vids it looked like it was ripping, thats the fastest iv seen a one go, and atleast in the vid he didn't smash it into the ground he kept it up above the ground. i would do it but im still trying to gather money myself :( but yea if u want a dust black i would do it. and + ur gonna get it sooner probably then if u order it

oh and abr5 that was probably the most useless post iv see on here

im thinking about buying it from http://sakworldpaintball.com/

also i use a mac. my brother uses a mac too but i think he knows how to run windows on it. im gonna need a way to update the software because it only works with windows. is it easy to update the software? can someone who has an A1 tell me about how long it took them to set everything up and get it working?

will the halo b with victory board + rip drive work on the A1. and would you go with a 45/45 or a 68/45 tank? or somethin else?

SkaDude
07-17-2006, 06:36 PM
well if u like the gun close to u or ur a front playa get the 45/45 if u like the gun not that close to u or ur a back playa get the 68/45 oh and if ur worried about weight get the 45/45 ,but thats just my opinion:biggthump

Edit: yes, the halo will work with the A1

Black HALO B with v. 35 Victory Board + RIP Drive - $124.50
Dust Black WDP Angel 1 - $1,199.00
45/4500 Crossfire Screw-In Low Pressure Tanks - $209.99

-----

Get the A1 from an MT on this site! Please take my advise on this one. You will be glad you did later on. No one, and I mean no one will give you better service or support! You can take that to the bank.... I think most of the guys and gals on this board would agree with me.

I don't believe sakworld has any MTs though.

Mavrick
07-17-2006, 11:01 PM
Not the same thing mate! These guys are tied in direct with the factory. They are the ones that give the feedback to get improvements and also have first crack at everything. Sackworld does NOT do any of the pro team angel guns. Only the MT's do!

OK, i will buy the A1 from either angelforce.tv or fixmyangel.com

45/45 are a small tank, ive always gone with a 68/4500 its good for the occasional front position, but good all around. when i was playing back id go with an 88/4500. look at how much paint you carry, how much you shoot on average, and how often you want to be running to the air line to fill up. if you are just playing rec ball, id go with the 68.

Mavrick

Peanut tanks or 70/4500 are good to. I like em so I can tuck in my gun close. Better center of balance IMO. So for a lighter gun like the A1 I think it would pay off.

I don't know the new tanks from empire are very light and worth the extra money, you also forgot about N-Guerrilla Air Assault L.P. "FUKU" Series 68ci/4500psi Systems they are also very light and are very nice.
Just 2 more options to look at.

BustA
07-18-2006, 06:52 PM
Hmm yeah i was also looking at the 70/45 because it is more compact and ya it will def give a better center of balance. i think i will go with that.

This is what I wanted to get. Unfortunately, they are out of Carbon 68/4500 tanks until August 15th (just a heads up), but I don't mind waiting for what I understand to be a great tank at a significantly reduced weight.

y not wait a few months and with the money u saved over those few months buy an angel 1 fly? that seems like the best plan to me.as for the tank, the Stako 68ci Bottle and Pro Toyz Reg is less than a kilogram in weight.its lie 275 bucks but it might be worth it.

heres the url for the tank:

Crossfire is not the lightest, but it ahs the most consystent flow at high rates. Adn about the DM6 and A1? Well, if you like to make maitainance all the time and use big tanks, go for the DM. But if you want a marker that won't give you headaches often, that you can use a small tank (and less weight) and compact, go for the A1.

I think im gonna go with the crossfire 70/45 because its small and compact and will allow for better balance on the gun.
