should i be using a 450psi output tank with the angel one? That is what is recommended but some are using HP preset tanks and are having luck with them. For best results, LP is recommended.

ABS is Anti-bolt stick. It increases the dwell on the first shot after the marker has not been used in a while. It does this to prevent static orings to stick but since the Angel really doesn't have any it isn't needed or can be very low.

Just got my A1 and haven't changed any settings or anything yet. Gonna get the gauges soon and do all that, but the suggested is a de-bounce of 1? Why is this? ...I'd think you'd want it a little higher. But I just got it and may be ignorant to it so, any info on that is appreciated.

I wanted to play with the marker in stock form for a bit before I set the Joy/Rage settings. Today I finally hooked up the gauges. Luckily for me the marker was set perfect; with the inline at 270 the LPR was perfect at 60. I didn't need to add or remov any shims.

I think the only setting changes I made from the default settings was change the dwell and the debounce. We'll see if I notice any difference tomorrow... stay tuned.

in my perameters menu, there isint a Loader Time/Speed setting option,
i have the 2.1 software, is there no loader speed setting in 2.1?

RangerJoe
03-09-2007, 06:00 PM
Its called "Paint Type"
Lower number is use with fragile paint- (will slow down gun so you dont break) and High number is for use with hard paint.

It was called loader speed in previous software versions... now it's fragile paint.

I've shot reballs with my A1 at a paint type of 4 and it was fine.

bajafx4
03-15-2007, 03:45 PM
Deevo, that's what setting I've shot them at too, but it's my understanding that lower the fragile paint setting = slower shooting speed.

I was thinking that since reballs are way less fragile than any paintball that I could raise the FP setting all the way up.

so i just got my a1 and used it for the first time today. played reball. the bolt kept getting stuck forward. i put the abs to 1.00 ms did not fix it. is there a setting for this, will 2.2 correct this? also during my paint test the eyes kept shuting off what do i do?

Ok here's a really ignorant question..
please confirm the method of setup.

To use the joy settings in the last post..
First get the lpr down to 57 by tuning it with the exaust gauge at 270 and adjusting the shims to get the lpr to be 57 (if adjustment is needed)

Then put the gun in millenium mode ..

Then put the joy settings in?..

from the beginning of this thread it someone wrote..
it should be in millenium mode... some one replied "YES" then
a couple posts later.. someone said that Joy was Using the semi Mode..
Just trying to get a clear explanation...
Thanx

bajafx4
03-24-2007, 05:29 PM
Mode shouldn't matter.

kayn_OS
03-24-2007, 08:15 PM
Mode will not matter as the Joy/Rage parameters are for the marker and the mode just allows different features like ramping to work or not.

Yes.

uhm, i don't think the question is fulfilled by a "yes". Let me rephrase it. Lowering the paint type does what? Enables you to use More Fragile Paint, or Less Fragile Paint?

RangerJoe
05-06-2007, 12:13 AM
paint type is the same principle of BIP delay (ball in place delay)
When your paint type is 1- that means the eye delay is longer- so fragile paint has time to get settled in the breech before shooting.

So the answer- Lower paint type= shoot more fragile paint (hellfire, chronic, inertia pro, ultra evil, etc etc)

It says right on the screen as you change the setting "fragile", "medium" or "hard"

Sorry for the confusion. Lowering the setting to 1 lets you shoot less fragile paint, but you can also still shoot hard paint; so yes. But raising the setting makes you shoot ONLY less fragile paint (hard paint)--fragile paint will break on a harder (higher) setting.

1=most fragile paint (and hard paint)
>1 = less fragile paint only

If you have hard paint, raise your setting.

Watch the fragile paint movie on wdp if you haven't done so already http://www.spymac.com/details/?1825425

like the setting indicates...it depends on the "type" of paint you are using.

12 is still the fastest

Puedes dejar "paint setting" en 4.

You said low pressure tank but. What is the tank output pressure measured? This is important. Has anyone adjusted your trigger? Your activation point could be a touch off.

i have 2.2 with a pulse on pulse mode and use paint setting 11, i had it on 8 and it was slow so i bumped it to 11, shot great, then 12 which seemed to slow it down so i put it back to 11. personally, i feel my a1 hates me, but i love it. i jsut hope it shoots as well as my fly did, because it mowed all day every day.

So with the 2.2 software, it seems that the Joy/Rage settings should be a little bit different. Should I just follow all of the settings in the newest doc substituting Paint Type 4 in for loader type, or should this and Debounce be set differently? I ask because default factory for debounce on my marker was 10. I set it down to 1 per the Joy/Rage Settings, and I have my paint set to 4. Of course I may kick that up if I get some harder paint. All this with a VL XSV Loader. Do these settings seem sane?
