Well I recieved an email from the guy I am buying my IR3 from today and he says he went to charge it and it displayed a number of strange messages on the LCD screen and wouldnt charge. He said he opened the grip and charged the battery directly and it charged fine and the gun seems to work perfectly. Should I tell him to forget it? Does this seem like a bad board and could it fail down the road or is it just a bad contact and no real problem? I am willing to charge it manually instead of through the plug on the handle, if thats all is wrong with it big woop but I want to get your guys opinion on it first. Thanks.
Did he have the power on or off? The power needs to be on or it will say pwron.

Yes. he tried that. It didnt work. It says mem6 and then fades or shows a battery life bar and 2 other symbols and its all messed up. The battery charges fine and the board works fine it just wont charge the battery. Once the battery is charged the marker works flawlessly. The connection between the battery and the charger just seems to be messed up through the usual plug-in on the handle.
Could very easily just need some sordering.

If worse comes to worse you would just need a new board, and those arent that pricy, and if you do need a new board I would recommend getting an A4 board since it has SENSI not COPS.

well it turned out to be the charger. He tested it to see how much voltage was coming out of it and it seemed fine so he didnt bother trying a different one until today and it works perfectly. Easy enough fix huh? The IR3 should be showing up on my door step in about 3 days! :bouncer:
