It's for your barrels that are G7 threads. You put the spacer on, and it will nicely cover any exposed threads that may show since the body is milled so tightly.

So is there going to be new threadings for the a1 too?No, BoB has said the "shank" postion of the A1 barrel kit is a little shorter and the ring just helps keep the barrel looking clean to cover up a few threads that would be exposed when using the current G7 Fly threaded barrels (new Angel threads).

They are calling it a beauty ring or something like that.
