Finally got to play with my A1 yesterday, what a disapointment. All that money and to have all the problems I & everyone else encountered. Wish WDP would have handed the first 100 or so out to employees for testing.
Just about what everyone else has come up with I have.
1 ..Shoots 2 sometimes 3 balls at a time
2 ..Eyes dont always see the ball, just stops shooting, shoots slow, then starts shooting again
3 ..First ball drop off, only a few times but bad enough to make me wonder if I waisted my money
Did the eye cover already, They had sent a bunch of them out a couple days after everyone recieved their guns. Had the dwell from 6.5 to 9.0, loader fron 8 to 14, mrof form 12 to 25. I couldnt remember the shot filter & debounce settings or I would have done that also.

Guess I thought that for the money I would get a solid piece of equipment. I like playing with my 05 speed better. Its rock solid, dependable, and faster than my A1

Going to change some settings, inspect the detents and try some more,,,wish me luck

When are you guys going to learn? You can pay top money & be a beta tester or wait 3-6 months & pay half the price once the bugs are worked out.

The Water Boys Mom: "That post is the DEVIL!!"

But thats really how it is, people say angels only do it, what about egos with the detent/bolt problems and other minor things on other guns. Its just how this type of thing is. I also usually wait awhile cause its cheaper:cheers:

I'm sure we'll get the bugs worked out, I just didnt expect so many people, so many guns all to have so many of the same problems. I'm 50 years old, have been a machinist & engineer all my life. When the company I work for designs a new product for industry we cycle every part millions of times. Test it every way possible. Pretty much make it bullet proof. And no we aren't some huge company like GM or Ford is. I bought my 05 speed when they first came out, solid as a rock since day one.

AKpaintballer, thanks thats what I did today but havn't had a chance to shoot it yet. When I had the gun apart today I did notice accelerated wear on the detent fingers, small little flat spots. And the fingers were angled in the direction of the muzzle but they probably supose to be that way so the ball moves thru them easier. I'll get hold of the appropiate people & show them

1.7 works beautifully, shot paint today for the first time since the install just to test fire it. It ramped, no double shooting, worked fine. Put about a hopper of paint thru it.....things are looking better

What does QFT mean?

And what is with all of the whining and unwillingness to solve problems or work to solutions... Instant gratification society.

pfftt.....whining and instant gratification? If I shelled out 1200 and I had these types of problems, I'd be pissed. I dont think its printed anywhere on the box
"some adjustment to work out bugs needed" What is R&D and testing for? Sure there service may be great. And its not like these problems are occuring with a little wear and tear, this is straight out of the box. Looks cool, but I'll hang on to my speed.

well almost all high preformince guns when they come out they have bugs in them. that is why i always wait a few months before i get one. but it sounds like all the a1's need now is the 1.7

I know people that bought DM6es when they first came out. They had all sorts of problems and I dont remember them being addressed so quickly. But eventually everyones problems were resolved.
The guys at WDP/AOG were on top of this from the beginning. I have read many posts that the techs handed out direct phone numbers to them. Try that with your internet provider and you get some person that's not even in the same country. So far all my problems were handled with a simple download, it wouldn't surprise me that one of the software upgrades contains some type of self diaognostics.
The price, in my opinion although not cheap was worth it. I like high end equipment. And with that you get the upper end price tag. I've got battery matching equipment that costs more than my A1 did, & I have 2 of everything.
In my eyes now the A1 was well worth it,
